2012 Christmas Contest Challenge #2: Jack Frost Minifigure
Look out! Look out!
Jack Frost is about!|
He's after our fingers and toes;
And all through the night,
The happy little sprite
Is working where nobody knows.
He'll climb each tree,
So nimble is he,
His silvery powder he'll shake.
To windows he'll creep
And while we're asleep
Such wonderful pictures he'll make.
Across the grass
He'll merrily pass,
And change all its greenness to white.
Then home he will go
And laugh ho, ho ho!
What fun I have had in the night.
Jack Frost

The rules are simple:
•Construct a minifigure to represent "Jack Frost". The "minifigure" must include standard minifigure elements including: Head, Torso, Arms/Hands, Hips, and Legs. However, the "minifigure" elements may be modified which can include painting, cutting/gluing (handle any sharp instruments carefully, and if you are one of our younger readers, please use adult supervision), and any other techniques available for customization. Third-party Vendor items are allowed (BrickArms, BrickForge, Brick Warriors, etc), as well as hand-sculpted items. If you're not interested in customizing your LEGO, purist figures are also welcome in the contest!
•The contest starts now and entries will be accepted until the deadline on November 22nd 11:59pm (cst).
•Entries can be edited until the deadline
•One entry per account
•After the deadline I'll chose a winner from the eligible entries.
The prize package for this contest includes:
9496 Desert Skiff
30052 Mini AAT
30053 Mini Republic Cruiser
Wicket Ewok Minifigure Key Chain
Like all of our other contests, our Basic Contest Rules (http://toysnbricks.com/about/contest-rules/) also apply!
If you have any questions you can ask them here.

Re: 2012 Christmas Contest Challenge #2: Jack Frost Minifig
I went for a more sinister take on Jack. It was fun going through various pieces to mix and match into something new (and hand fraying a homemade cape) Still trying to clean up all the glitter (hey silver dust is important!).

I'm so terrible at these challenges, but I find them irresistible. (I may have raided my son's minifig box a little last night.) Here's Jack:

Here is Jokul Frosti (Norse for Icicle Frost known in English as Jack Frost)
I based him off of Norse mythos where Jokul Frosti is usually pictured with an icy staff, Ski/Skates, Icy hair, and traditional Scandinavian clothing. He is also known in myths to be responsible for the furn frost seen on windows on winter mornings so I tried to emulate that in the background. Also note he is skating on a smooth icy surface of a freshly frozen lake

Still waiting for lego to come out with an "Invisible" Minifigure. But until then, white on white is as close as I can get to recreating the sneaky devil "Jack Frost"

Our entry, done by a 9 year old with no idea who Jack Frost was/is. I read her the poem, and here is the result.
