[Contest] LEGO Summer Vignette 2012
Re: [Contest] LEGO Summer Vignette 2012
I interpreted this as 10x10 studs, given that studs is the standard unit of measure in Lego. As to fitting 300 pieces on a 10x10 stud plate, it all depends on the pieces! I've got a vignette in mind but I'm yet to start building, mainly because I need to rip a bunch of pieces off my son's built sets. If I'm quick, he might not notice...

Hi cornbread. djanscak is right and should be 10x10 studs, not 10x10 inches. :)cornbread wrote:Is that supposed to be 10x10 studs? For some reason I read that as 10x10 inches which is a 32x32 stud plate! I was thinking... how would you fit 300 pieces onto a 10stud plate, it must be 32x32! DOH!*]Baseplate must be 10X10 (you can connect pieces to make a 10X10 plate)

I blame the summer heat... it fried my brain.

I have a quick question. It says it has to be a 10x10 base, but would it be okay if it still stayed in that size, but a different shape? What I mean by that is that it would still have 100 studs on the base, just like the 10x10.

Same question as CarsonHart, am I allowed to build on a baseplate, but keep it confined to a 10x10 area. It will probably be marked with some bricks or tiles.

My question is different though. I am not building on a baseplate, I just want to see if we have to build on a 10x10 square, or if we can build on a different shape base, as long it uses 100 studs.

Hi Carson. No, you can't build it in a different shape even if the perimeter and area is the same. The base must be 10x10.CarsonHart wrote:I have a quick question. Hi Legobrandon. As long as the base is 10x10, its really up to you on what bricks to use.Legobrandon wrote:Same question as CarsonHart, am I allowed to build on a baseplate, but keep it confined to a 10x10 area. It will probably be marked with some bricks or tiles.

I just had a question about the base. You said that it had to be a 10x10 base, but there are some that don't follow that rule. Also, some have quick a bit of overhang. I'm just wondering, is that allowed?
