This is very hard to decide.
You guys all did top notch work.
I only wish I had enough time to build my own entry.
After much deliberation, with myself, here is my vote:
Brickbuilder0937 - 10188 Death Star - 2 votes
akunthita - 10189 Taj Mahal - 1 vote
I have inoperable cancer and am unable to work. Any gifts would be appreciated. Thank you!

My votes are as follows.
One vote for akunthita and the 10189 Taj Mahal.
One vote for Fatyankee and the 10195 Republic Dropship with AT-OT Walker.
One vote for soliton and the 10198 Tantive IV.
I'd buy all of these sets if Lego released them.

VERY Nice work all. I would gladly purchase your builds as impulse/poly sets! (althought I guess 200 pieces would mean a $20 set)
2 Points for the Dropship with AT-OT Walker (really 2 mini-builds in one.. impressive)
1 Point for Emerald Night
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

1 point to each:
akunthita - Taj Mahal
arkov - Emerald Night
unbornchikken - Diagon Alley
I was going to have an entry here too but between moving into a new place and final exams it was just bust. Started at least 3 of them and I was really close to finishing a space shuttle but I thought it looked terrible. Blech. Good work here though.

1pt to akunthita - Taj Mahal
simply amazing level of detail, and a perfect boiling down to essentials
1pt to unbornchikken - Diagon Alley
to tackle one building is impressive. Three? Downright insane.
1pt to Brickbuilder0937 - Death Star
really a fantastic rendition. I love the star wand.
Everyone did a bang-up job and I'm glad this contest inspired all of you.

Such great entries, it was hard to pick, but in the end:
akunthita - Taj Mahal - 1 point
soliton - Tantive IV -1 point
Brickbuilder0937 - Death Star - 1 point
akunthita - I thought yours best captured the spirit of the original model.
soliton - if this was a poly bag or a kit, I'd buy it in a second. Just beautiful work.
Brickbuilder0937 - I thought this was the best tribute in terms of miniaturizing the original model.
LEGO, it's not just a toy, it's an addiction... ;)
