Post by Toys N Bricks » Tue Jul 01, 2014 8:48 pm

This voting thread has been amended. Please refer to the new voting thread.

This is the official thread to vote for the member(s) that you thought were the most helpful! Three winners will win the polybags as mentioned on the contest page.
Things to keep in mind
-Post/Topic Quality
-Helpfulness (finding/posting sales & finds, answering and resolving questions, good sportsmanship)
Voting starts now and closes on July 7, 2014 at 21:00 PST.
Voting Guidelines
  • Forum members registered after February 19, 2014 (after announcement of the contest) are not eligible to vote
  • Each member will have 3 points to vote (if more than 3 points are given, the vote will not count)
  • Points can be divided for different members or can all go to one single member
  • You cannot vote for yourself
  • Place your votes in this thread by stating the member(s) forum username and a brief comment

At the end of the voting process, all votes will be tallied up and the winner will be announced. Good luck!

Hi, my votes go to :

Legobrandon for his post about amazon pre-order of Lego Movie.

Hoth-Wampa for a post where he paste a link to brickset website. Since, I use there library to find part in Lego set.

Mantisking because he is the first forum member (not forum staff) to say welcome. That is great to feel welcome.

Thanks all!

I'm confused. Who cannot vote? The people who registered after February 19, 2013 vote or the ones who registered after the contest was announced? Or both? Because the above joined after the date given.

Also, it states contestants aren't allowed to vote. Who are the contestants? Are they anyone who has made a post in those forums?

Those are typos JustBrickin and Legobrandon. Anyone can vote so long as they are registered after February 19, 2014. You cannot vote for yourself. Thanks for pointing it out

Are winners of the last TnB contest eligible to win in this contest?

3 votes for Vynsane. Assuming you can vote for staff.
Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk?

That's a good point. Can you vote for staff? If so, I've always found atmail35's posts to be very helpful.

I would also like to vote for The-Daryl whom I have always found to be very congenial and helpful in the forums.

Also, thank you to Toys N Bricks for creating such a welcoming and friendly community - it's always a pleasure to participate!

Edit: In light of the clarification re staff below, I'd like to allocate my points solely to The-Daryl. Thanks!

Should we be distinguishing a difference between most helpful in shopping forums compared to general? Should the 3 picks be 1 from shopping and 2 from general like mentioned in the rules? (I quoted below) A little clarification would help me out.

Most Helpful in Shopping Forums (Sales & Deals, In-Store YMMV, Availability, Retailers Discussion)

The top forum contributor/most helpful will have first pick on three LEGO polybags

Most Helpful in General Forums (all other Forums aside from Shopping forums including theme discussions, new members, etc)

The top forum contributor/most helpful in general forums will have second pick on three LEGO polybags.
The second top forum contributor/most helpful in general forums will get the remaining three LEGO polybags that were not chosen.
