Background: Dekar is a Matoran from an island which during the cataclysm split up from the main landmass and shot out of the Mata Nui Robot's mouth, becoming Voya Nui. Due to eruptions from the volcano, the island of Voya Nui eventually became large and a city was founded there. Unfortunately for the Matoran, the city sank under the water, along with a large portion of the island. The island became known as Voya Nui, and was saved by crashing into fields of air, which released a large number of bubbles which collectively became a large bubble over the whole of the city. One day, while Dekar was near the edge of his city, he found the Mask of Life. It cursed him. He tried to destroy it, but was eventually transformed by the mask into Hydraxxon.

Store: This set came in stores as a Matoran-sized set. It wasn't a special release, so it's pretty common. The set came with 37 parts and cost 5 dollars (US).
Note: Dekar doesn't have his Zamor Launcher in these pictures. Why? I can't find it...

8930 Front
The front of Dekar. Simple, and pretty well-done.

8930 Back
The back is a little unprotected.

The arms are "prefabs", precursors to the 2008-2010 arms. However, on this guy, these look pretty good.
Parts/Colors (3.5/5): For parts, there's not much to say. HOWEVER-it contains orange parts, and the mask looks AWESOME in orange.
Playability (4/5): One of BIONICLE's strongest points is playability. This set isn't AS playable as some larger sets, but that's to be expected.
Price (4/5): It's not expensive, and although it doesn't have a high part count it has some good parts.
Build (2.5/5): It's nothing special. Not very entertaining, but it's small, so it's expected.
Design (3.5/5): It could be better, although it's not bad.
Overall-3.3-It is a nice set, although it could use improvement.
