[Review] Hero Factory 7148 Meltdown

Indexed

Name: Hero Factory Villain 7148 Meltdown
MSRP: USD $12.99
Pieces: 50
Accessories: Radioactive sludge shooter and Meteor Blaster

From Lego.com:
Attention LEGO® HERO FACTORY®! Warning! Meltdown has been sited near the Mekronite Planetoid Belt- objective unknown. He is Von Nebula’s most destructive servant! Armed with a radioactive sludge shooter and Meteor Blaster, avoid his cyclops stare at all costs

Let me start by saying when I first heard of this line, I had no interest in it.
However that interest has grown, and so I bought Breez (7165) first then this guy.
He won't be my last.

I haven't really been into Bionocle since its launch, so cant really compare these sets to them.

Here is is assembled:

He has a bit of a foreboding presence.
They definitely did a good job of making him look destructive.

Here he is with meteor and sludge stream.

Here is another angle:

As you can see his sludge tanks attach to his arms with cool little hoses.
His left arm contains the meteor shooter, and his right arm has the sludge beam attached.

It took about 10 minutes to assemble him. He had more pieces than I had realized.
I really like his mask, and the cyclops eye.
He actually stand pretty tall (they say over 7") especially compared to Breez

Here he is locked in battle with Breez:

I didn't think I would get into this theme, but I was wrong, I will be buying more, if not all.
I would definitely recommend this set, even if not interested in Hero factory.
He is pretty awesome.

Feel free to comment/review him yourself.

How well does that ball shoot out that he's holding? This is a question that I've been wondering for a while now.
http://www.eightclickbrick.com/ Find me here on the internet.

Playing with LEGO when I can. Where does the time go?

It works surprisingly well.
Fires at a decent speed.
Haven't done a lot of testing on it though.
Ill do some testing and try to see what it might knock down.
