(MOC) Superman Character Statue

Post by Minitrue » Sun Jun 09, 2013 11:40 am

Hello, all.

I have not posted in awhile, but I thought I would share my efforts from yesterday. I built this statue for the opening sequence in my next brickfilm. It is 51 cm tall. Like all of my statues, it is based largely on set number 3723. I planned out the torso art on brick grid paper. Enjoy!

Those are fantastic. I'm a serious buyer if you ever want to offload any of them.

Wow! My wife texted me while I was at work- "You're on the front page of Toysnbricks!" Thanks so much for this. I am truly honored.

I love building these statues too! Here is my version of Kai from Ninjago.

I try to keep it even- With this Superman statue I now have two Marvel and 3 DC. The next one will be a Marvel.

Hi, everyone.

Thanks for the positive feedback on my statue. As I mentioned in my first post, it was made for inclusion in a brick film.

If you are interested, here is the film:

Nice!!!

I tried building a LEGO sphere with regular LEGO bricks. It was so much harder than I thought. After trying to figure it out for myself I finally referred to someone else's guide. The guide that I used is here (link to another site) http://www.brillig.com/lego/sphere/
