[MOC] KZ65000 Speederbike
[MOC] KZ65000 Speederbike
The things I plan on focusing on in MOCS are Speederbikes, Hovercars and Starfighters. While I've not yet created a Hovercar, I've done one mini-scale Starfighter and two Speederbikes. This one is, in my opinion, the stronger of the two.
I named it KZ65000 because I'm shortly going to acquire a 1979 Kawasaki KZ-650 to work on as a project, and wanted to honor it as a 'futuristic' version of the same model.

A very nice design. Is there any specific back story to this or did you just create for creation's sake?

No one in particular, just pieced together a dude to ride the bike.Eddy976 wrote:Cool! Whos the guy suppose to represent?
There are more angles in the set I linked to ('Hover-thingies' in my second post) but here's one shot:DarthPaka wrote:i like the overall design, streamlined, very aerodynamic, very fast looking, well done!! can we get a shot of the engine though?
No real back-story, just wanted to build a speederbike to contribute to the LEGO Speeder Bikes pool. They require less pieces generally than other types of MOCs, so at the time my limited selection made it a natural match.legitimatealex wrote:A very nice design. I feel you with the 'limited selection' issue. It usually turns out alright though. Limited resources just inspire creativity. If you don't have one piece you have to find out how to substitute it.

Thanks, mang.brickz wrote:Good use of the pieces to make a neat little speeder. Great job!
I forgot to mention, it's also a 'remix' of Creator 6745 "Propeller Power" with a little bit of Creator 5866 "Rotor Rescue" and a few other odds and ends thrown in for good measure.
