Giant clone trooper

Post by Brickbuilder0937 » Fri Aug 21, 2009 9:37 pm

Image
I built this a while back and was too lazy to take pictures. So now I finally have a picture and a place to post it.
It's a 10:1 scale with about 3,000 pieces.

I like the fact that this is a giant Clone Trooper minifigure instead of just a giant Clone Trooper. Pretty awesome!

How many pieces did it take to make this?

Thats pretty sweet; how long did it take you to build something like that and is it solid thru or hollow?

It took me about seven or eight hours over three weeks; and it's hollow. The hardest part was building the front of the torso, I used plates turned on edge to get in more detail.

Quite impressive and looks just like a real clone trooper minifigure.

Thanks for all the positive feedback everyone. I just wanted to let you all know I'm bringing the clone to BrickCon next week.
Hope to see you there.

How much value do you think this might be worth on ebay / craigslist ?

It has about $150-200 worth of pieces, plus the time I spent designing and building it, and it's one of a kind; I'd guess I could sell it for $250-300. That's just a guess, I don't really have any idea how much custom models are worth. But it's not for sale if that's what you're asking. :D

Does the first picture look familiar? http://www.fbtb.net/2011/10/28/lego-cos ... onnection/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Great job by the way. It reminds me of those big LEGO displays in retail stores that are in the display cases. :-D
