MOC Viking Longship Devourer

Post by tankm » Fri Feb 27, 2015 6:12 am

Created this MOC as part of the Viking Season 3 launch Contest in Singapore.

If you are in Singapore do drop by Marina Square (till 1st March, 2015). Lots of events and prizes to be won. Details here... http://www.historyasia.com/shows/vikings/event

If you like to vote for the contest, it can be done here till 31st March, 2015 ... http://www.historyasia.com/shows/vikings/lego-contest

Some details on this MOC:
Entry Build Name: >>> Devourer <<<
Length of build: 90 studs
Breath of build: 48 studs
Height of build: 13 inches
Base size: 48 x 96 studs
Number of pieces: 850 pieces (approx)

Some features of the build:
- Movable oar. Oar is flexible to pose in various position (eg. dip in water, fully retracted, just above water)
- Movable rudder.
- Collapsible sail.
- Movable ship figurehead and tail.
- Look for the same Lego parts in various color. This is what I like to do when I build my LEGO's collections.
- If you manage to turn off all the lights at the atrium, see the glow in the dark horns.
- If you are bored, make a guess on how many Snake Heads are there in this build ? How many pair of horns can you see in the build ?

Few more and larger photos to see all the details for your viewing pleasure on the Devourer Viking Longship.

He was very impressed, he even pointed out that looks like you have Ninjago spinners as the shields on the side. Nice creative use of those.
