Greetings from New Hampshire
Greetings from New Hampshire
Hello,
Been collecting legos since '85, (born in '84). Never had any duplo. Favorite series was classic space up to 1998 when I stopped getting legos while in high school. Restarted my collection after visiting the lego store in Moscow Russia in 2005. I mainly get the Starwars sets now and occasionally others.
I also hunt for clearance sets in the big department stores during the year to support the local toy drive and I've been doing that for 5 years.

I'm actually not that far from Lowell either.Mantisking wrote:Hey! Finally someone a little closer to me than NY state. :)
Maybe we should plan a "PAB-crawl" around the Boston LEGO stores! :D
Re: Greetings from New Hampshire
Heh pab. I fancy the pubs too. My first and only pab cup trip was to the Lego store in moscow. It was really expensive to get any sets but the novel event of gradually filling a pab was fun. I can say all the parent types that day just wanted Harry potter minis, which you couldn't get of course.

It is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too easy to get spend an hour or two packing cups to get the most bang for your buck and quite a fun challenge.
Not sure I'd feel the same if I were to hit all three Boston PABs in rapid succession, but I'm willing to give it a try! :D

Welcome to TnB koromo, nice to have another space fan in the community.
Re: Greetings from New Hampshire
You should alternate - do a PaB/Pub crawl and see what you end up with in the last cup - "what am I going to do with 75 LEGO minifigure dogs???"GuaranteedUnity wrote:Maybe we should plan a "PAB-crawl" around the Boston LEGO stores! :D

Considering it's a slog down 128, from one end of 93 to the other, it's a bit of an accomplishment. I think I ended up doing it once but I had the day off and time to burn.GuaranteedUnity wrote:Not sure I'd feel the same if I were to hit all three Boston PABs in rapid succession, but I'm willing to give it a try! :D

That much moving around I would need a pint at least. Boston can be quite hecktic driving to and through.

I have vacation off from work in Jan and will be in the Boston area for part of it. I could put this on my list of things to do.Mantisking wrote:Considering it's a slog down 128, from one end of 93 to the other, it's a bit of an accomplishment. I already put it on mine; I just need to work out the logistics. ;)koromo wrote:I have vacation off from work in Jan and will be in the Boston area for part of it. I could put this on my list of things to do.
I was thinking the 17th or 28th (or maybe even a weekend after the 15th).
If any of those coincide with your vacation and you're game for meeting up, send a PM and we can work out details.
