Hello from British Columbia

Post by BlacktronManic » Mon Oct 04, 2010 9:43 am

Found the site quite by accident. Started looking at all the creations other people were creating and stumbled upon this site, what a blessing! For the past year since my son started getting into Lego we have been collecting many Lego City sets (his favourite and slowly becoming mine too). Space Police III (Space is my favourite theme) and Atlantis have also caught my eye and brought my love for Lego back to life. I went back and rebuilt all my Lego sets from when I was a kid and have been enjoying building and creating all over again. It's also great to see my son use his creativity and build a variety of things.

It's nice to see a site that is always up to date on what is going on in the Lego world and for all the sales/deals that are taking place in CAN and the US.

Welcome.
Back to the awesomeness of LEGO & to Toys N Bricks.
I have inoperable cancer and am unable to work. Any gifts would be appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome to AFOL! It is nice to see another canucks joining. We have one thing in common with each other. We both picked up the bricks while our son are old enough to play with LEGO. Have fun building LEGO with you son.

Don't forget to check Buy/Sell/Trade forum. May be there is an opportunity that we will trade at Vancouver, B.C.

I started my love of the space theme with Blacktron, especifically the Renegade (6954) and Battrax (6941). Both great sets.

Thanks for the info on the buy/sell/trade option for here in Vancouver, sounds very good if the opportunity arises.

Nice, I just recently reacquired Battrax on ebay. I then found Bricklink and bought a bunch of the signature parts to piece together the Invader (mainly the printed pieces).

Everyone thanks for the warm welcome to ToysNBricks.

As for my battrax, it is missing a couple of pieces and I will be looking at getting the few replacement pieces down the road. As for the invader that was a set that I remember wanting as a kid. Glad you got it and added it to your Blacktron set!

I love space theme too. My first LEGO set was 6970, and this set impressed me so much when I was in my childhood.

The design of Blacktron series was as good as classic space theme. I like the use of yellow and black as theme color. It was my dark age at the time this series had been launched. If this set is now available at local store (the shipping is very expensive in Canada) with MSRP, I believe there is no reason for me to pass it.

If none of you have ever seen this, you should check it out, especially if you are a Blacktron Fan!

I was left in complete awe at the sight of this.

Holy .... it is awesome. The whole layout was so completed, everything about Blacktron was there. I like the feel of lining up all the space ships/fighters with the space rangers, it is cool.
