I don't see "series 12" anywhere. You think this means these will be treated as the Olympic figs -- outside of the normal run of CMFs? So we may still see a Series 12 besides these?

He probably read this line : "Each minifigure comes in a sealed “mystery” bag with one or more accessories".

Not sure how that translates into secret extra accessories.
Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk?

I wonder if "collector's booklet" is the same folded pamphlet we've been getting since the beginning?
Regardless, I'll still be picking these up!

Agree, maybe someone is getting too excited over this series and is starting to hallucinate?

We will get a series 12, in the fall of 2014. After we get Simpsons mini figures in the summer.

Good looking out... I was worried that they would just start doing licensed cmf series.

Where this minifigs available at Toys R US? Because sometimes TRU sells some 2014 sets in early or late December.

Probably around Christmas or shortly after certain stores will get two boxes.

You mean day before Christmas and the day after Christmas?

When all the LEGO Movie sets are released, I have to start getting the Cuckoo Cloud Palace set for a regular Wyldstyle and a non-hard hat Emmet minifigures.

Then for the LEGO Movie minifigures, I have to get the following first:

- Gail the Female Construction Worker
- Larry the Barista
- Abe Lincoln
- William Shakespeare

- Marsha Queen of the Mermaids
- Wild West Wyldstyle
- President Business
- Bad Cop

Then followed by Where's my pants guy, Panda Guy, Mrs. Scratchen Post, Wiley Fusebot and Taco Tuesday Man. I don't think so if I am getting Hard Had Emmet or I'll just get additional Wild West Wyldstyle, Calamity Drone, another Wiley Fusebot and Velma Staplebot.

After those, I'll be getting an Ice Cream Machine set and order of some LEGO Movie minifigs from the expensive sets that costs a lot of money (such as El Macho, Vitruvius, Fabu-Fan and Blacktron Fan) online.

There is no set release dates for mini figures. They will get the boxes within a month but even then they will probably sale out within the first shipment or two. If you want them as Christmas gifts I'd buy something else.

I was at Target (in S. Florida) this morning. An older lady & young guy were stocking toys. He unpacked an end-cap display of series 12 right in front of me. I was like SCORE! But, she told him to put it away because it wasn't supposed to be out yet. I asked why and she told me the system said "do not display until after Dec. 29". :what?:
With that said, I'm sure this mistake has, or will, happen again, even at other stores. The thing is, sometimes the register won't let you buy it if it's not in the system. This time last year, a stock clerk actually took something (Friends) away from my wife because of the same issue; wasn't supposed to be on the floor yet.
Would have been a great Christmas surprise.

TRU stores have started selling them , a couple people on reddit have bought them. I saw a couple on ebay as well.
I can wait , no use paying scalper prices.

FYI Velma bot seems to be the hardest to find
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

I found them at Targets and ToysRus in Lexington KY this past weekend. I haven't seen them in my local Meijers or Wal-mart yet. I was shocked to see that TRU had them for only 2.99 and not 3.99 or higher.

I managed to get 15 of the 16...I couldn't locate the female construction worker...i thought this series was hard to feel for...lots of common elements which makes you have to be extra careful ( two with 1x2 tile, three with 2x2 tile.)

I agree. The lack of very unique parts/weapons/accessories made it more difficult than usual for me. I most often found the 1x2 or 2x2 tile OR found mermaid lower body or two dresses most easily and then went from there. Luckily there was only 1 mug in this series. It helped that Abe's hat/hair was soft. The cat lady was a difficult one for me to feel for which surprised me.
