Am I the only one laughing my a$$ off that they're including the exact same Azog as the one that was at Comic-con?? Now anyone holding one of the CC versions has to hope that packaging is worth $1200 without the figure.

Exactly, you knew it was going to happen. I think the TMNT black turtle is worth more, but my guess is Azog SDCC will still go for $300-500 after the release, as it's more about the packaging/rarity. Would you pay $1000 for a "special" cardboard insert though? Not me.that guy wrote:Am I the only one laughing my a$$ off that they're including the exact same Azog as the one that was at Comic-con?? Sets look pretty awesome. I know they'll be overpriced, but minifigs are far better than the City sets, etc.

I believe even a die-hard lego fans would not pay $300 for CC version. I think they rather spend those money on Mr.Gold.stevebuscemi wrote: my guess is Azog SDCC will still go for $300-500 after the release, as it's more about the packaging/rarity. Right, TLG just mixed and matched the head, leg and torso for the City sets minifigs. The minifigs from modular sets were even worse. I can't find one exclusive minfig from any of those modular sets.stevebuscemi wrote: Sets look pretty awesome. I know they'll be overpriced, but minifigs are far better than the City sets, etc.

Well said! Those people whom got one of those SDCC Azog better unload fast! After the release of these sets, it sure will not worth anything more than maybe $10-20.legohunter wrote:You are not the only onethat guy wrote:Am I the only one laughing my a$$ off that they're including the exact same Azog as the one that was at Comic-con?? Some great figures but the sets just seem to be Random rubble with peeps fighting around them. The mirkwood looks good and it will be good to get Azog and the dirty wizard.

NICE LEGO! Sucks to be those people that squandered on the CC Azog figure, but smart move for the ones that sold it. And yes, after examining closely, this Azog and the one given in the CC are exactly the same, even though I heard the color was going to be different.
Re: 2014 January LEGO Hobbit Sets
Back to the topic on the sets, I was afraid before that Lego might be doing more of the incomplete sets unless you buy both from before, and this shows that they will. Simply sad, instead of one set $80, they spilt it to $60 and $40, I think Lego success is getting to their heads. What else do they have up their sleeves, very scary thought.
Re: 2014 January LEGO Hobbit Sets
I agree, these are three sets of "some random wall" scene plus some scene appropriate figures. This is really quite lazy and boring.

Thank goodness the came down on pricing. $29.99 is an amazing price for MA, even if it's just a glorified battle pack.Marcus70 wrote:Got the new 2013 Holiday Catalog today, which has the 2014 Hobbit sets,
