LEGO Star Wars 2014 Set Numbers & Names (January/Winter)

Post by Toys N Bricks » Tue Aug 13, 2013 2:48 pm

A Star Wars 2014 winter list with set numbers and names have surfaced on Flickr from David Hall. According to the list, 19 sets will be released which is a lot more than what LEGO usually makes in the Winter/January wave. Again, note that nothing is set in stone yet as these are just rumors.

A new line known as "Recruitment" will replace the current LEGO Star Wars Planet Line. These will contain mini scaled sets with 1 minifigure. Seems like there's nothing too different from the existing planet sets other than the fact that they're now taking out the planets. For the regular building sets, the list mentions that they will primarily be based on Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith. Thanks to forum member Morgan19 for the news.

Battle Packs (4 minifigures in total)

75034 Death Star Troopers (Stormtroopers & other minifigures)
75035 Kashyyyk Troopers (Clones & Wookies)
75036 Utapau Troopers (Clones)
75037 Battle on Saleucami (Clones)

Recruitment Sets (replaces Planet sets)

75028 Clone Turbo Tank
75029 AAT
75030 Millennium Falcon
75031 Tie Interceptor
75032 X-Wing Starfighter
75033 Imperial Star Destroyer

Regular 2014 Star Wars Building Sets

73038 Anakin's Jedi Interceptor (Yellow)
75039 V-Wing Starfighter
75040 General Grievous' Wheel Bike
75041 Vulture Droid
75042 Droid Gunship
75043 AT-AP
75044 Droid Tri-Fighter
75045 Republic AV-7 Anti Vehicle Cannon
75046 Coruscant Police Gunship

The battle packs sound interesting. I'll wait to see these sets in the store before I decide whether I buy or not.

Same. Only really interested in the battle packs. None of the regular sets interest me in the slightest.

I wonder if this means the Series Four Planet sets won't be released. A lot of the Recruitment line came out with the planets.. will likely pass on those.

I am sad to see the planet sets go. My favorite part of them is the planet. My room looks so much cooler with planets hanging from my celing

I agree! That is such a bummer about the planets! I really hope I can at least get my hands on series 4 somehow. Last year's christmas tree was wonderful with all of those little devils hanging there. Hopefully this develops more and doesn't stagnate or fade into obscurity like that UN building architecture set... Oh the deceit!!! I love you guys. Friendship.

I'm a bit surprised to see yet another V-WIng. They must sell better than I thought, since I remember the last one at 50% all over the place. I would have expected another minifig scale B-Wing / Tie-Interceptor / Tie-Bomber?

So, yeah, I don't see much that I'm interested in, but since the current wave is so good, that's fine with me.

I am looking forward to the trooper sets along with Grievous's bike and at the AT-AP. I also am looking forward to the Droid Gunship. Otherwise thats it for me.

HothBricks has pictures up; scroll down a bit on that page to the bolded links... It appears LEGO is taking a chibi approach to the planet replacements, which is both strange and kind of amusing at the same time.

Also hope no one's sick of flick-fires yet, because we're getting them in spades with this wave.

If the clones look decent I'll prolly get all the battle packs. Of course the stormtrooperROYAL GUARDS! one as well. Recruitment sets I have to wait on what mini fig they got. Falcon is a no brainer buy tho. And then the regular sets for me is prolly Anakin's fighter, Grevious' Wheel Bike(awesome), and the Vulture Droid. LEGO going easy on my wallet a bit on this.

EDIT: Saw what they look like thanks to morgan19 above... Very uninspired designs, lol. Prolly won't touch the Recruitment sets. The Royal Guards is so awesome. Didn't think I would be able to get them at a decent price. Prolly still get Anakin's fighter and the Wheel Bike(not that great now). Vulture droid is all wrong...

I actually love the little tiny ships! They are so silly and fun, much nicer than the planet ones we got, can't wait for an A-Wing.

The recruitment line will be attractive to younger kids, which is the target audience after all.

A pink R2 robot in the v-wing might actually get me to buy it, as I need more R2 units! :)

Seen on Ebay: The new Grievous from the 2014 Set! Quite crappy pics, but I like the white Grievous with his detailed eye section.

It doesn't look any different from the 2010 version aside from the fact that it's painted white instead of off-white.

I noticed that a lot of it has to do with the pose. The arms look much better when posed up like is shown below. They just look strange down like they are in the ebay picture.
