These are very confusing Lego times, let's hope their reversal back to Ninjago doesn't lead to half-baked crappy sets.

Oh and Dareth I say, am I the only one praying for a brown ninja??

With the exception of the dragons, I think this line is goofy. Not the minifigures but the vehicles. Ninja are silent killers, right? So why do they need huge tanks and fighter jets? Now Monster Fighters is a line worth expanding. Sure all the major monsters are in use but there are others. Anybody remember Monsters In My Pocket? Great toy line for its time. Lot's of ideas can be mined from MIMP and transferred to Lego's Monster Fighters. A Warlock, A Witch, Invisible Man, Hunchback, more zombies, Hobgoblins.....and so on......

Just wanted to add the Ninja line from the late 90s was better at least to me.

This is no "reversal" - that image first appeared last December.

Because huge tanks and fighter jets!

Honestly, you're over-thinking it. You could have stopped at:
I think this line is goofy.
That's the entire point - it IS goofy, acknowledges it, and makes not apologies for it it! Then again, were I fighting animated skeletons and snakemen all the time, I'd take all the heavy weaponry I could get my hands on, spinjitzu master or no!
ALL HAIL THE BLACTRON EMPIRE!

It sounds like the 2014 sets will be the last and that the designers want to go out on a high note.

However i think we need to have Ninjas vs. Pirates before the theme ends.

All goofiness and/or accuracy aside, let's remember that most Legos are still sold to kids (or parents of kids) and that's where our own love of Legos stems from. My eight year old son LOVES Ninjago and so do many his age. And while it may appear that Ninjago was done or soon will be done, I have no doubt that it will keep coming back as long as kids are still interested.

BTW, every one of my Monster Fighters sets came with an Invisible Man. Now I just need one with bandages on. ;)
