Re: Mr.Gold LEGO Minifigure Picture (71001 Series 10)
Is the cane put together right? The gem he is holding goes in the top of his cane?
Re: Mr.Gold LEGO Minifigure Picture (71001 Series 10)
What's the deal with the golden lightsaber? A cane I can understand but a sword? I guess he earns his money the old fashion way: he slaughters his enemies for it.
Re: Mr.Gold LEGO Minifigure Picture (71001 Series 10)
^ It's supposed to be a cane, with the diamond on top. The person who listed it incorrectly assembled obviously cares very little for LEGO other than profiting from it, which makes it all the more insulting.

Checked 3 Freddies on my way home in Portland. No Series 10 but no tags or boxes for it either.
Did see all Lone ranger sets (Minus Stagecoach) at one of them on 82nd though.

I'm holding out for a Mr. Gold keychain in my maibox... lol
Re: Mr.Gold LEGO Minifigure Picture (71001 Series 10)
I read that some re-sellers, who sell the CMFs by the box, might be weighting the box before shipment (checking for Mr. Gold).
Re: Mr.Gold LEGO Minifigure Picture (71001 Series 10)
Wouldn't be surprised. I wonder what the weight difference is. Do all boxes contain the same ratio of figures?Marcus70 wrote:I read that some re-sellers, who sell the CMFs by the box, might be weighting the box before shipment (checking for Mr. Gold).

There's a new one up there now. Currently at $900.

Re: Mr.Gold LEGO Minifigure Picture (71001 Series 10)
Does anyone know how many minifigures Lego produced per series? I want to count the odds.
e.g. If there are 5 million minifigures in Series 10 then the odds of getting Mr Gold would be 1 in 1000.

Wasn't there a rumor that they will continue with these rare items in series 11? Maybe it'll just go on and on. Mrs. Gold? Gold Jr? Princess Gold? Pretty soon they will need to start their own GOLD series. It'll be like the Smurfs, but gold. Wait, isn't there a way to turn smurfs into gold?

I'm starting to think that LEGO should have made them only available if you order through S@H, that was no feeling up.

Looks like someone in Vancouver got a hold of one:

Doubtful, I would say rumors are just that... rumors. Notice you could not order Series 10 from Amazon.fr like you have been able to with almost any other series. I believe Lego was trying to somewhat preserve their 'fanning out' of Mr. Gold to different countries so that people in the US wouldn't/couldn't 'steal' Mr. Gold's from other countries, and Vice-Versa. The fact you can already pre-order Series 11 via Amazon.fr supports this.badbob001 wrote:Wasn't there a rumor that they will continue with these rare items in series 11? I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

I really hope that they don't continue to with figures as rare as this one.

There are people who are faking Mr. Gold by painting a minifigure over and customizing them with decals.

Good. Now people have a cheaper knockoff and can stop complaining.MrMultilegos wrote:There are people who are faking Mr. Gold by painting a minifigure over and customizing them with decals.
