Lego always has limit 5 per customer for new sets. Usually and I mean usually they remove their limit when the sets are no longer "new". Luke's Landspeeder released half a year ago still has its limit 5 per customer. I'm quite suprise they remove their limit so early on these figures. They should never have done that, some people trying to make big bucks probably order a whole bunch the instance they removed the limit.Brickbuilder0937 wrote:^I contacted LEGO about the 5 minifig limit when these first came out and they told me the limit would eventually be removed.

I'm for a 16-bag limit. They sell more, we can buy more. It's fair. And you still can't complete the series with 16 bags.
Re: Collectable Minifigures Sold Out LEGO.com
Lego shoulda offer an option to buy a complete collection with all 16 minifigures for $32 US and $48 CA. Then people do not need use barcodes and buy more than they actually need to complete their collection.
Re: Collectable Minifigures Sold Out LEGO.com
Yes, but barcodes aside, that would mean each person would only pay them for 16 figures when the whole theory behind blind-bagged/boxed merch is to cause people to buy more than they want in order to eliminate dupes. The barcode, of course, kind of undermined that idea.SpaceLego wrote:Lego shoulda offer an option to buy a complete collection with all 16 minifigures for $32 US and $48 CA. Re: Collectable Minifigures Sold Out LEGO.com
I suppose it doesn't really matter now since they're all gone. I have very little hope of completing my entire collection now. I've got 7 out of the 16 and I'm missing quite a few good ones :(
The only item of hope is that LEGO learned their lesson and will make BILLIONS of these figures for series 2. None of this 'oh the stores got 1 box in BAM they're gone!' kind of stuff. I never found them in stores anywhere. The best I got was an empty box at Toys R Us.

lego.com says call to check product availability.
I called, lady said still sold out.
She did say that all major retailers would get one last shipment.
Make of that with you will.

Prices are soaring up really fast at bricklink. Most of them are already above retail around $3. The zombie is $4.

I may not have been looking hard enough but it seems that these figures just came out on the east coast. The same can be said about the star wars mini xwing and shuttle.

Maybe there's another wave hitting the eastern seaboard, but I got mine almost a month ago at the TRU in Valley Stream.slacker wrote:I may not have been looking hard enough but it seems that these figures just came out on the east coast. How much were the figures at Valley? $2.50 or $3.00.
Re: Collectable Minifigures Sold Out LEGO.com
I got them when they were still marked MSRP $1.99 - and we had a $10 off $50+ purchase coupon, so they actually rang up at $1.70/$1.71.
