Castle or haunted house???

Post by Bbquicksilver » Mon Mar 11, 2013 10:34 pm

Monster fighters is winding down and I like the set a lot. But I see no reason in getting both the haunted castle and the haunted house. So for those of you who got the sets, I need opinions. Which do you like better? I def like the mini figures in the castle set. But the haunted house seems like so much more. What do you guys think I should get?

I definitely like the haunted house much better. It is a complete building, with four sides, unlike the castle, which is open on the back side. If I could only have one, HH would certainly be my choice.

Both are very good. Dollar-for-dollar, I would say the Vampyre Castle is the better set. A slew of play features, cool figures, and the fighters' car make it a fun set. The Haunted House is "finished," and the inside is nicely detailed, but not as much going on play-wise.

I agree with Derek's assessment about the playability...

I personally like the Haunted House better, as it is more clean and has great Minifigs (especially if you picked up some Ghost Polybags last Halloween). As for Playability, the Vamp Castle is better. If I had to choose between the two, I would grab HH.

If you are trying to get both, get the Castle now as it is on it's way out.
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

The moonstone machine is neat. The torture machine with the handcuffs and the crank seems like something outta 50 Shades of Grey!

A few months back.

Officially it will be in June or July, and the house is at the end of the year.

I'd go with the house, piece for price a much better deal, cool (rare) sand green color, and I think it will be worth 2-3 times the price in a year or three.
