They are part of the hair piece.

I was a little disappointed that series 3 mini figs did not come with extra parts.

Really? Not even the visors? Interesting.

Any word on the quality of the plastic? Is there any significant increase?

Ugh, Elf is going the same way as the Spartan did. Castle-themed figs get more expensive because people want armies...geez. Of them all, I only really like that and the Space Villain. The Space Alien isn't bad, but most aren't done very well-many are simple, don't have great accessories, etc.

Not even visors. Plastic quality is normal though I had a couple of hands that had flash (extra plastic from mold lines for instance) on them which I had previously never seen on legos before.

Hrm... odd.

Please qualify 'normal': Do you mean CMF normal, or standard LEGO minifig normal?

Also: Bumps! - they're the new barcode.

I guess that I am not well versed in the difference between regular and collectible mini figs so I don't know how to answer that.

From the results (so far), here are the top 5 figures people wanted. Good to know that even though fisherman only has 2 in a box, its only #4 on people's list. :)

Elf
Mummy
Samurai
Fisherman
Tribal Chief

The Racing Car Driver & Pilot would make a great addition to the City theme!

Anyone got a line on how many of each are in a box? I picked up 32 bags Yesterday. Got 2 Aliens, 3 Rappers, 2 Fishermen, 2 Elves, 4 Samurai(BTW the Kimono under the armor is beautiful), 1 Hula Girl, 1 Gorilla, 1 Race Car Driver, 1 Cyborg, 2 Snowboarders, 1 Aviator, 2 Sumo Guys, 3 Tennis Players, 1 Baseball Player, 1 Mummy, and 5 Tribal Cheifs.

My girlfriend whined and got my extra elf and 1 of my tribal Cheifs.

Can anyone confirm that you can get 3 sets for series 3 per box?

Isn't it based on one person opening one box? Series 2 had people opening multiple boxes at a time. I just think it would be a bad move by lego.

I got all the ones I wanted and like them all.

Especially the Space Villian (cyborg) is VERY cool, my daughter even wanted him, made him the tennis players best friend

I am going to make him a borg, fighting a Vulcan (elf ears).

Series 3 Minifigure surprises/disappointments

Post by ncbarrett » Mon Dec 06, 2010 8:25 am

So those who have s3 minifigures, which one has fell short and which one exceeded your expectation?

Personally I think Samuri Warriors armor is a bit disappointing, very plain and unappealing.

But the Space villain(cyborg) is far sweeter than I thought he would be.

I have the baseball player and 4 others unopened. I think I will trade these for series 2 or other figs. I do not like at all.

Couldn't find any S3cmf minifigs in My area of Ohio. Guess I'll keep using my 33% coupons and stock up on spartans from borders.
The elves will go a long way toward my Lord Of The Rings MOC

Is the Space Villains Helmet a new mold?
Or are there others?
I really like it.
