It looks a lot better than 2002.

It doesn't look good, it doesn't look bad. It's just boring. There needed to be more variety in the wall. All Castle castles are just walls with towers, but the ways have rock pieces, corners and the towers have different hieghts and slopes.

This is just boring to me. But it gets the job done. I'm just glad to see Castle is back, and with colors I like for army building.

But where is the dragon? It was the dragon in 7094 Castle Siege that made it so desirable and different from the other castles. I hope one of the other new Castle sets have a dragon because dragons are cool. LOL

There's a small dragon in the top left corner of the picture far far away. But i don't think you'll find him in the box.

I think LEGO purposely made it "juniorized". With LoTR and the Hobbit, they already have a more realistic and mature "castle" theme. As adults, I think we forget that younger kids do like the simpler sets that aren't too complicated to put together so they can play with it as a set. Just an idea.

I kinda liked the Galaxy Squad sets, but due to money constraints put it lower on my list. Wait until you see wave 2 of the sets. I almost want to get them all now. :(

One of the sets, has a red dragon. I've linked to pictures in the "Lego Castle for 2013" thread.

My first thought as well, feels like a step back. And no one has commented on that red thing in the corner?? Looks like a bullette (I think, don't have my Monster Manual anymore) on wheels with a catapult attached to it. Very odd. After what I thought was a very classy looking Kingdoms line this feels eh to me.

I'm starting to like the Galaxy Squad. Detachable ship from tank is awesome. Not in to the bug aspect but the detaching space vehicles definitely hit a soft spot.

Honest the castle isn't that much different than the Kingdoms one, both were really boring. But no one seems to remember that the first Kingdoms year was a joke like these Castle sets are, then the second year was fantastic.

My problem with Galaxy Squad is that it's called GALAXY Squad and yet there are actually very little space in the theme, the whole thing seems to take place on the Moon. There needs to be more space fighters and not just land vehicles.

Looks like:
The photo of Lego 70404 (?Blue Castle?) shows

1) 1 castle curtain walls with battlement (with crenel and merlons)
2) 2 Norman styled high towers at both ends
3) 1 mini-keep and king's chair
4) 1 working drawbridge gate (notice the crank on the side)
with portcullis (cant see any castle gate doors)
5) 1 castle battlement catapults (mangonel)
6) 1 defending castle knight (w/grey armor) on a horse
7) 1 King
8) 2 archers (one long bowman, one crossbowman)
9) 1 treasure chest
10) 1 scaling ladder
11) 1 attacking red knight w/black armour)
120 2 attacking red soldier (1=w/mace, 2=w/treasure chest)
12) 1 kingdom's flag, 1 kingdom banner
13) 2 shields with a coat of arms
13) 1 secret backdoor/escape exit for the castle

14) red wheeled siege catapult ( which looks out of place)

what I don't see

1) a queen, princess, or fair damsel in distress
2) squire for the knight and horses
3) moat with crocodiles
4) a battering ram
5) a Siege tower
6) any dragons (you see a shadow of one in the background)
7) any unicorns
8) a Ballista
9) a Trebuchet ( counterweight style catapult)
10) Castle dungeon/prison cell
11) a wizard or bishop
12) court jester or the holy grail
