LEGO Star Wars 2013 Polybags (30240 30241 30242 30243)

Post by Toys N Bricks » Thu Jan 03, 2013 10:52 am

New LEGO Star Wars 2013 Polybags have been revealed! Seems like we'll be getting mini versions of the Z-95 Headhunter, Pre Viszla Mandalorian Starfighter, Republic Frigate and Umbaran MHC. Like all other mini promotional sets, these should be available for sale from The Sun Newspaper in the UK or at various major retailers in North America soon. Thanks to Hoth Bricks for the news.

The only one I may consider getting is the Frigate. I hate these Star Wars minis, unless they are a $1.50 each.

Meh? Thanks for the pictures but yeah not planning on getting any of those polybags. The Ironman and Robin polybags sound way more exciting!

The Star Wars minis aren't my favorite... But they aren't all that bad. We get them for my son and make Christmas ornaments out of them. He's got a lego Christmas tree to display all his minis on

Wow! These polys immitate the full versions of them superbly. It's as if someone took them and shrunk them down! Although these aren't the best SW polys out there, I really like the uniqueness of them. Unfortunately, I have a bad feeling regarding the availability of these sets.

I agree! I actually really like the mini's myself, and when you couple them with the Advent Calenders, you have a nice little fleet of different vehicles. Putting the mini/micro builds next to the "big stuff" like the SSD or Death Star make the display more realistic as the ships are more realistically sized in comparison.

Plus, i can move/play with a squadron of X-wings (Fill in your favorite ship) with my hands MUCH easier than having to move the bigger versions... plus its a lot cheaper =) I for one, cannot wait for these.

My biggest fear is like yours Ant... availability.
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

No OT in this batch, but I have nostalgia with the Z-95 Headhunter originally from the 90's X-Wing game.

Polybags usually show up in Walmart or Target during their seasonal displays (like Valentine's day, Easter, Halloween, Christmas, etc). They also show up at Toys R Us in a less predictable manner. Just stay tuned to the forum, people will post where and when they find them.

Thanks vynsane.
So the Lego Stores don't typically carry these polybags then?
I'll keep posted on this forum.

They sometimes show up at LEGO Stores as well, and sometimes as promo items with a qualifying purchase (like the current "Ewar's Acro-Fighter" promo).

Has anyone seen these in stores yet? If so, which one? Thanks.

I actually spotted the Mandalorian Starfighter at my local TRU, and I'm up in Canada. I'd imagine that they should start popping up everywhere soon.

It's a love hate relationship. I love the polybags but I hate the price.

That's the exclusive minifig giveaway for the 'May the 4th' promo at Lego brand stores. I believe it's free with a Star Wars purchase of $75+
