Olympic Minifigures, UK exclusive
Olympic Minifigures, UK exclusive
Brickset's front page has info on a UK exclusive set of 9 Olympic athletes, all sporting the UK Olympic colors and uniforms. The sports represented are swimming, judo, boxing, equestrian, tennis, archery, gymnastics, weightlifting, and track.
The pics on brick set are a little blurry, but there looks to be some fairly interesting parts. Boxing gloves and headgear in blue, Superman hair in orange. Pretty neat!

Wow, those are pretty cool. As luck would have it, my girlfriend is taking a trip to the UK later this summer, and this will definitely be on my shopping list for her!

Re: Olympic Minifigures, UK exclusive
There is a lot of debate weather or not these are real on the Brickset Forum. Cheesy lettering and image of the minifigs. But professional box and packaging design.
Re: Olympic Minifigures, UK exclusive
From the OP (before the picture was posted) I thought this was a boxed set of minifigs, not a new extra limited CMF set.

Re: Olympic Minifigures, UK exclusive
no compound bow for the archer? It also shows them on the package wearing the new CMF swimmers medal. I am very interest and hope to see boxes of them on Amazon.uk
Re: Olympic Minifigures, UK exclusive
Wow, nice figures. Too bad its only uk.
Re: Olympic Minifigures, UK exclusive
Anyone else notice the copyright symbol on the bottom right corner says "(C) 200 The LEGO group". Somehow I don't think TLG would slip up like that. Even the box and polybag art don't look right. Look at the boxer minifig and polybag image, the headgear has a logo. As well, the polybag art portrays them all wearing a medal but no medal on the minifigs.
Re: Olympic Minifigures, UK exclusive
Does anybody know when they become available? A week or two before the Olympics or in the next two weeks? I got a buddy who's heading to UK in a month. I can get him to pick some up for me.

I hope these are fake because there's no way in heck I could ever be able to get hold of any : |
That said, most of them don't appear to be too different from any of them that are in the CMF series, so I wouldn't miss them too much, although it would be nice to have a boxing partner for my red buddy.

Not sure is this real or not. And why just available in uk. Everyone watches Olympics. Anyway, just had a friend get back from London and no sign of these for sale there now.

This is both awesome and disappointing.
Awesome that it is real.
Disappointing they are UK only.

Want. I expect they'll show up on ebay and BrickLink at a huge markup. I'd order a box too with some people if we could order it from let's say Amazon.uk.com.

That's a great idea dilbert12, what should we do next - take a head count to see who's in?dilbert12 wrote:Want. I expect they'll show up on ebay and BrickLink at a huge markup. I'd order a box too with some people if we could order it from let's say Amazon.uk.com.
Thanks
Re: Confirmed: LEGO Team GB Olympic Collectable Minifigures
I wonder how many complete sets each box would have

Re: Olympic Minifigures, UK exclusive
Whilst I tend to prefer the weirder CMF like the gorilla or the rabbit, I really do love the look of these. I think it's crazy of Lego to be making them U.K. exclusives. I say that despite living in the U.K. with, I hope, my nearest stockist a few minutes walk from where I work.

There are 60 bags in a case split up by:nick91884 wrote:I wonder how many complete sets each box would have
•6 each of the Boxer, Weightlifter and Horse Rider
•7 each of the Swimmer, Relay Runner, Judo Fighter, Tennis Player, Gymnast and Archer
That makes 6 complete sets in a case.

Re: Olympic Minifigures, UK exclusive
I am making a post on all the olympic threads, i am not really a forum poster here but long time follower of the site, i have en ebay account "roarimapanda" and a flickr of my lego "funshitisland" i recieved a full box from the Uk (I live in delaware usa) and sold a few full sets, now i have a 3/4 set of 6 and a few singles that i would be willing to offer to people for cheap. (about 5 bucks per minifig and about 4-5 dollars shipping for one, or if you get more still only 5 dollars shipping for 2 or more.) pm me on here or flickr or ebay to exchange a word with me or barter if we must. I don't want to seem to money hungry so am willing to offer, but the box itself plus shipping from UK didn't leave me with much of a profit from what ive sold on ebay
