Re: LEGO 8831 Series 7 Minifigures (Summer)
I wonder if the space marine chest piece is from the upcoming Iron man super heroes line? Could be used for war machine.

That's a very good point. You might be onto something.slacker wrote:I wonder if the space marine chest piece is from the upcoming Iron man super heroes line? Could be used for war machine.

Or one of the zillion Iron Man armors Tony Stark has in his arsenal. Which we'll no doubt be bombarded with when Iron Man 3 comes out!TClone wrote:Or Power Suit Luthor.Brick & Blue wrote:That's a very good point. Pre-order placeholders for minifigure series 6 and 7, 8827 and 8831 respectively, have appeared on BN website.
Re: LEGO 8831 Series 7 Minifigures (Summer)
$3.49ea? We started out at $1.99ea with series 1. I've gotten every figure from series 1 thru series 5 for my son but 1.99 to 3.49 in such a short time...... I think series 5 will be the last series we get a complete set of. I'd rather spend the money on actual sets instead.
Re: LEGO 8831 Series 7 Minifigures (Summer)
That price is out of my range. I'm glad that I'm topped out on gladiators and not too interested in the upcoming series. The only advantage of the price point is that they might not sell as fast in stores and will be able to be stocked when there are sales sometimes.

Re: LEGO 8831 Series 7 Minifigures (Summer)
I'm done with them. Seriously, screw it. I thought that $3 was outrageous enough. I am not buying this series. Assuming I don't screw up in feeling out the minifigures, one complete set of these guys would cost me $56.8 and that's without the tax. I'm sorry LEGO, this is too far. I really hope that this is only the BnN price.

Before everyone freaks out and swear off mini figures, is this price the MSRP or the B&N price?
Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk?
Re: LEGO 8831 Series 7 Minifigures (Summer)
That's true, it could be just B&N prices. Even so, three was my cap before so I'm hoping that barrier isn't broken...hatcher wrote:Before everyone freaks out and swear off mini figures, is this price the MSRP or the B&N price?

I bought two Dwarfs and the sign said at TRU $3.49. They rang up $2.99 minus 50 cents for the sale this week. I thought that was kind of interesting.

Series 7 minifigure packs will be in the colour red. This is confirmed by Eurobricks member 'Nagyzee' who has kindly posted an image from a retailers catalog. However, the box has yellow placeholder minifigs surrounding the box instead of the official ones. These will be released in May.

Re: LEGO 8831 Series 7 Minifigures (Summer)
I've really been liking the last few series and series 7 does not disappoint! There are so many figures that I want extras of that I just know I'm going to go broke over these (and well, all the new sets coming out this year).
I am a little perturbed by the price increases, but it is what it is. I still think it's a pretty good deal since there are a lot of new parts.
The sad part is really that the other stores, not LEGO, are marking up the prices 50 cents. The only way I'll buy from TRU is when they have a 2 for $5 sale because then you get them for less than the retail price. Otherwise, I just go to the LEGO store and pay the $2.99 per and earn VIP rewards. I just hope LEGO doesn't raise the retail price any more...

They look great, but I have to ask why they could put a kilt on the bag pipe player for this series, but not the Highlander in Series 6?
Actually I could use more bagpipers than highlanders. For the parade.

And early review of Series 7 has popped up on Eurobricks.com.
5 Space Marines per box! I am going to buy so many multiples of this guy.
Simply put, this series is the best one yet. And back then I thought S4 was the best.

OMG, TLG used bloody red for the theme color. It is so ugly. Isn't bright/flesh red better than this, is it?

Glad to see TLG knew many people are going to be scrambling to get the Space Marines so they put 5 of them in a box. After reading this superb review, it definitely got me more excited about this series. Can't wait until Fred Meyer gets these in stock so I can drive over to the US and feel all 16 out. Plus, they usually offer a 10% off coupon on toys too.
