Look at this years lineup there are many buildings or building-like structures. There are 9 building-like sets and only 6 vehicle based ones and 3 of those have dragons in them. So going forward I think it is fine to do a couple more vehicles. Would I like more buildings, sure, but I guess not as much in the spring.

Bingo we have a winner. NinjaGo is marketed more heavily to kids than any other LEGO line in my opinion. Kids like to be able to swoosh.

The new characters are snake-based, with new snake minifig heads. Lots of neon green. Giant boat is pretty cool, the rest, eh. I still don't get why Ninjas are driving giant vehicles and fighter planes.

Just saw the pics....yeah, the big boat and the snake copter look pretty cool. The spinners aren't too bad either.

Everything else is just weird.

What things? Are you talking about specific sets or Ninjago in general?

Looks like Toys R Us will have some of the 2012 Ninjago sets starting in December. Found this bit in a TRU Lego ad on-line.

They must be appealing to the general public more than the hard core Lego enthusiasts by the looks of these posts.

These look like they could be Batman sets if you just painted them black. Whenever I am in the stores, kids seem to love this series, so I guess it's working. Nice to see a ninja theme do so well, even if the styling isn't really my personal taste. Not everything can be UCS! :)

I guess lego is taking the concept from teenage mutant ninja turtles. Instead of spending money on license, they developed their own line. In fact, lego seem to succeed in catching kids' favors. Somehow, kids love ninja even if they don't know what ninja is.

From an adult point of view, I am surprised to see another wave of ninjago, and the new wave is too scientific
