This sounds pretty cool. When you saw them were there lots of trees in the sets? It would be nice to have trees and bushes to save from fires.

My first reaction is the same: hopefully there is a lot of plants and greenery involved. This also reminds me of the forestmen theme. Maybe Kingdoms will get some robin hood treatment too!

There are trees. Also, a brown bear comes with the ranger outpost.

The Goldmine Cave and Bandit's Hideout sound interesting as well. Can't wait to see what those will look like.

I'm actualy quite happy to hear that! I've always thought City needed more 'regular' vehicles and sets. Even little shops, fast food restaurants, or even things like food carts would be a welcome addition to the theme. Anything that would diversify things a little more and add variety, really. While I do like the Space sub-theme, how many cities actually have those things?

When you said 'forest' I Kind of imagined...I don't know, not police and fire? Something like camping or hiking, mountain climbing?

Also I'm against generic city vehicles. You can easily create them on your own. Buying them in sets seems like a waste to me.

Playing with LEGO when I can. Where does the time go?

The taxes in Lego City must be sky high to afford all of these police and firemen.

I'd like to see more specialty service vehicles...garbage, animal control, public works, streetsweeper/sprayer, ambulance, meter reader, woodchipper, electric company (truck with a bucket lift), taxi cab

This is the type of stuff I meant when I said I wished there were more 'generic' vehicles. What I should've said was 'everyday-type vehicles that don't have anything to do with police or fire'. lol

And thats exactly what's coming in January: garbage truck, ambulance, car with camper, SUV with off-road bike and highway truck.

I don't even care about the trees and bushes anymore. I want some dinosaurs!

The firefighters have soot/abrasions on their faces. Cool little detail. I wonder if they turn around to a "clean" face.

Rather boring sets that don't look "foresty" at all.

However the new brick textured brick looks great.
