Re: 2012 LEGO Star Wars
Judging by the names, all these new sets seem pretty cool. I'm still not quite so sure about the Planet Sets, but the battle packs sound great!
I wonder though, if the minifigs will be updated/changed to Non-CW, i.e. Sebulba, Endor Rebels, and Geonosians. I've got mixed feelings about new figs, as some of them I feel need the update, while some are fine as is. The Endor Rebels, for example, imo are great the way they are in the recent Battle of Endor set. On the other hand, I know many Star Wars fans are greatly disappointed with the new Geonosian, so that would be a minifig to tweak. I'm pretty sure Lego isn't going to redesign a minifigure just released in a recent wave, but it's always nice to hope. ;)

Re: 2012 LEGO Star Wars
So they're updating the X-wing again, unfortunately this probably means the price will be updated as well. :( I am happy about the TIE fighter re-release as it is one of the Star Wars sets I never had the privilage of owning.
Re: 2012 LEGO Star Wars
I'm just happy they are continuing the Star Wars line, I think my interest in Lego would dip dramatically without the Star Wars universe.
Re: 2012 LEGO Star Wars
Interesting that none of these would seem to include the Queen Amidala minifig that was previewed at ComicCon. Maybe she's still farther out.

Wow, The new battle packs sound cool. I can't wait.
Re: 2012 LEGO Star Wars
Other than the TIE re-release, there isn't a lot in this wave that looks super exciting to me.

Re: 2012 LEGO Star Wars
I was hoping for a Mandalorian battlepack again, but with some Mandalorian guards, or even Dutchess Satine.
Re: 2012 LEGO Star Wars
This list in no doubt only a partial for next year.unclephn wrote:I was hoping for a Mandalorian battlepack again, but with some Mandalorian guards, or even Dutchess Satine.
My guess you'll see more movie and less clone wars sets with them coming out in 3D starting next year.
9674 & 9675 make very much sense with Ep 1 coming out in May
I have inoperable cancer and am unable to work. Any gifts would be appreciated. Thank you!

Re: 2012 LEGO Star Wars
I'm not sure on the new battle packs. Sure, having 2 opposing factions in 1 set increases playability but in turn causes battlepack armybuilding to be more costly.
Other than that, the rest sound rather interesting, especially the planet sets. Hopefully they're not too expensive. If the pricing trend continues then MAYBE the TIE would be $50 (not bad) and X-wing $60.

I'm curious about the Battle of Hoth. That's my favorite SW scene and always love it when its recreated in video games. I'm worried that it will underwhelm.

I thought Echo Base was just released? Apparently this is a companion set ala Hogwarts?

Re: 2012 LEGO Star Wars
Well, until I actually see these sets, I can't really form an opinion, and that's assuming these reports are accurate. I don't like the idea of mixing the good guys and bad guys in battle packs, but that just might be me. The planets idea sounds rather, um, unimpressive. And a new X[Wing makes little sense when they are still selling the current model at TR. I can only guess what Jek Porkins might look like as a mini figure. :D
Time will tell.

Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk?
Re: 2012 LEGO Star Wars
I was wondering about Jek myself. It would be cool if he had a bit of a gut, but they might just give him a beard and shove him in the x-wing. I was hoping for a little more personalization with Wedge in the last release, oh well.hatcher wrote:Well, until I actually see these sets, I can't really form an opinion, and that's assuming these reports are accurate. Re: 2012 LEGO Star Wars
As long as the X-wing isnt given 3 misplaced figures (han, leia, chewie) in the set to inflate the price, I think it will be cheaper, and probably look better(if the sith infiltrator's evolution is any indication) than the 6212.
Personally, I am excited for the Endor Rebel Commando's. They average $7.00+ on bricklink, way too much for my tastes, but I want to get a decent squad going, two is not enough to assault a shield generator bunker!

Re: 2012 LEGO Star Wars Rumors
I find it strange that there are no Clone Wars sets in the list :? . But considering this is only a rumor list I wouldn't be surprised if the sets were completely different. Only time will tell.

Re: 2012 LEGO Star Wars Rumors
With 2 factions in a battlepack (and all the minifigures named in the set), I really hope LEGO is not just going to give us only the minifigures. :?
I don't think it will be like that. Its rumored to be a "LEGO Games" set so you can expect board game formats like the NinjaGo one.ATXHusker wrote:I thought Echo Base was just released? Apparently this is a companion set ala Hogwarts?

Re: 2012 LEGO Star Wars Rumors
The battle pack is CW. Plus, the geonosian cannon could be CW. Maybe it'll be $40 and include an exclusive Jedi for enticement.Brickbuilder0937 wrote:I find it strange that there are no Clone Wars sets in the list :? .
