I hope they make more batman sets. I think the hobbit is a possibility with the movie coming out and everything and they could make sets like bag end and rivendell. All in all, I think that batman is more likely to come out than the hobbit so probably the odds for either one appearing are low.
We can always hope. :)

I think batman is more well known and thus has more appeal. especially to those fans who missed out last time(myself included)

Based on what happened last year and this year, I am thinking we could see a Lone Ranger theme for next year, and either a line based on the Pixar movie Brave or Monsters University(Monsters Inc sequel).

I base this on the fact that last year they released lines based on Prince of Persia (the Disney big budget live action movie of the spring) and Toy Story 3 (the animated big budget movie) and this year it was Pirates and Cars 2 that got the LEGO treatment.

And while Disney has other movies coming out next year beside Lone Ranger, this line would be easy for Lego to come up with, as they probably still have a lot of their Western based molds lying around, and Johnny Depp is supposed to play Tonto, so they already have his head. :)

Like I said, just guessing, but I'd buy Lone Ranger sets.

Here's how I tend to Gage prospective lego themes. If I've ever heard of the subject, and I like it, It may very well work. For instance, x-men would probably be a popular and collectible lego theme. if it's something obscure, it is likely to be less popular. Legos are geared towards kids(as they ought to be) and thus have to have something that has widespread appeal (aka starwars, batman) I think this is one of the reasons that we haven't seen lord of the rings yet. Personally, I don't think LEGO would do Total Drama, because before i googled it, I'd never heard of it. (this may just be my limited experience) but it would be cool.

Considering Disney now owns Marvel, and just did two big releases with Lego -- Cars 2, and PotC -- maybe we'll see more coming their way in terms of superheroes.
