That is probably the worst model of the Enterprise I've ever seen. Poor Trekkies, they'll have to endure crappy models made of non-LEGO of their beloved franchise, while Star Wars fans point and laugh as they build their Jabba's Palaces.

Sets You'd Want to See

Post by FamilyFun » Sun Sep 30, 2012 3:07 pm

Does anyone remember Thunderbirds? That's what we would like to see in Lego.

5, 4, 3, 2, 1... Thunderbirds are (le)go!

Hi, FamilyFun - I've appended your topic to this one, since it would be a licensed theme and then fits in perfectly with the rest of the discussion here.

That said, I actually just mentioned Thunderbirds over on Eurobricks in the discussion of the rumored upcoming "Galaxy Squad" theme - it seems to be at least a partial influence, if I'm interpreting the description correctly!

It's been discussed before (can't remember if it was here or elsewhere) but MLP is a Hasbro property - as such you're infinitely more likely to see MLP in Kre-O form than in LEGO form. A toy company isn't going to license their property to a competing toy company.

I always thought Hannah Barbera themed sets would be awesome. There is so much possibility...

Flinstones
Yogi Bear
Jetsons
Johny Quest
Space Ghost
Fantastic Four
Scooby Doo
Tom and Jerry
Adams Family
Smurfs
Power Puff Girls
Snorks

All of those could be included as well as others I didn't list. Some would be more popular than others but there are some real classics there. The problem is I'm not sure how much these themes relate to kids now days. Some things like Scooby Doo seem timeless.

Yeah but, most of those shows are dead. P.S. MB made sets based on The Smurfs.

Dead and discontinued like themes such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or The Lone Ranger? :-|

...or my little pony, transformers, GI Joe etc? Seems like everything is a remake these days. The new original themes are few and far between.

Lego Asura's Wrath would be cool. It's a video game by Capcom. I wonder why Lego never does any video game licensed themes. I wonder why.

While I do think you put up a lot of unusable ideas here...this one I feel could work. Iconic Characters, vehicles, dinosaurs, buildings. Yes, if the show has any popularity with the target market.

My 5 year old was building the police station today (Christmas gift) when he looked at me and said, "Daddy, they should make Angry Birds Lego!"

You heard it here first ;)
