I'm thinking that this line is just what I wanted from the Space Theme. Anyone else notice that the Alien's ray gun is the CMF astronaut gun? I thought they weren't going to use the CMF stuff anywhere else?

That would be too expensive for them=a 2 month mold really is a lot of money for a short production. Didn't they re-use the spartan helmet? Plus, the Alien's Ray gun is excellent and detailed, perfect for evil spacemen.

Maybe there's been a lot of demand for it outside of CMFs.

Uh... yep :P

There's bound to be plenty of re-use of CMF items in the future. They don't make a new mold with the intention of only using it a few times...

That was all the way back on page 1. Sooo long ago ;)

The only reason I said they weren't going to use it anywhere else is that LEGO promised constantly with the CMF line that they were going to keep the pieces unique, which was supposed to interest people further in collecting the lines. If they use the pieces from the CMF lines then they are going to lessen the appeal of owning the sets.

A $250USD hand held video game system. For that much you could buy all the sets in the theme for normal price, besides the $5 set.

Looks like the same pitch fork as in the kingdoms pics.

The picture showing the trident was a prototype, the actual set will have a pitchfork.

i would think it's the opposite. the final set is most likely going to reuse the trident, not the pitchfork.

Pictures from Toy Fair show the Alien Conquest set and the Kingdoms set both with the pitchfork.

LEGO is bringing back the pitchfork, the trident is most likely dead for awhile along with Atlantis.

I really like the UFO, but I just wish they included a "soldier" with it, so you get a farmer, soldier and alien. Maybe in a second year of AC we can get new farm sets! That would be very nice. :)
