I'm curious, those disks under the mini figures, are those being introduced into all new sets? Are they just stands to make the mini figs not fall over as easily? Or is it to be compatible with some kind of lego board game thing? I notice some pads are smaller then others.

Also isn't is a little soon for a re-make of this set? The old ones only 2 years old.

^ Pretty sure they're just elements used pre-Photoshopping and aren't actually included in sets.

What a waste of a set. This one is almost exactly the same as the last one which only came out a couple of years ago.

I can't imagine this is going to do very well. It looks exactly the same as the old one. Also yoda looks like it took a step backward with the head. I liked the one with the white hair on it.

The previous version was much better and it gave us a unique character, now they give us Yoda, which we have 13 in a dozen of and a cheap battle pack Kashykk trooper. Bummer.

Very odd release indeed... Of all the sets they could have re-made they picked this one and from prequel no less!!! The previous version was a stalwart and I still see it kicking around here and there on shelves, only moving at a decent clearance price so not sure what Lego is hoping to achieve here but hey, they are not stupid...

The old 75016 set hung around forever. They did this slow spiral down until they had been markdown for 2 months at $15, and still weren't moving. I grabbed the manager and he sold the remaining 7 sets for $10 each. At least the old one had a new character and super battle droids. Looks like all they did for this set, is give some crappy droids, a keychain yoda, a dime a dozen eite trooper, and the spinning blaster added to the bottom. Probably wait for these to hit $10 in couple of years as well.

I have a feeling they will do many re-releases. Did you notice the new Star Wars movie already has all its vehicles covered in the first and second waves? I hope they don't just do movie "scene" sets. There was hardly any vehicles in the new movie, I was kind of disappointed because I knew it would be difficult to make Lego sets for it. The new movie basically has like 7 ships total, and I didn't even notice any ground vehicles in the movie. 4 of those ships were from the original Star Wars movies... What are all your thoughts on that?

Lego is riding the Star Wars fever, at this point no matter what they sell under Star Wars "TFA" it will sell, so why not reissue old sets!
