Thanks for the heads-up. I had a hard time deciding where to move this - I've moved it to the Star Wars forum, as it's sort of the best fit. It's not really a Sales & Deals thing, nor is it a Retailer discussion.

So with our four passes, each family member can get one.

Is it worth the 175 mile drive, hmmmm....

Nice, great timing!

I have to wonder about the effectiveness of or reasoning behind a promo like this. Obviously, given the short window of advance notice, this is not an attempt to get people to schedule a long-distance visit. It's not really an attempt to get people to buy an annual pass, since you can still get one by purchasing $30 worth of merchandise. It's not really an incentive to get people with an annual pass to visit, since they already have an annual pass and will work to make sure they get their money's worth.

I suppose getting people to visit means more money being spent on food and at the Studio Store? That's all I can think of... other than merely making people who live very far away insanely jealous ;-)

Now if they would just do it for annual pass holders at the DFW Legoland Discovery Center.
Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?

I think it is to get foot traffic in the park and store. Also People spend more money when they are given free things, especially something not readily available.

I am thinking it is to drive sales. I would have not bought any Star Wars sets since my kids prefer Friends, Super Heroe's , and Lego Movie sets better. Since they are running the promo, I will go ahead and buy some Star Wars stuff to get the figure.
