LEGO Knocka has posted a picture of a never before seen LEGO Star Wars 75058 MTT set. The set was found at the LEGO Store in Budapest, Hungry. There's the usual battle droid minifigures, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Naboo Security Guard. You also get a new repair droid minifigure too.
Comparing this to the 2007 LEGO Star Wars 7662 Trade Federation MTT, this set does in fact look smaller. The droid storage racquet seems to only hold 3 battle droids compared to the previous version which was able to hold 8 battle droids.

It is a nice looking set. I like the naboo security guy and the Qui-Gon Figure's legs are quite nice. I hope it isn't more than $75. It doesn't seem to have much in it other than the figures.

This is a set (7662, the old one) that I'm looking to buy because I think it's awesome.
But this new set is AWFUL. Smaller, doesn't fit many droids...it's main purpose. What a ugly POS. Hope LEGO doesn't release that 75% sized-version of a good set 7662.

I'm optimistic. The figures look good and I like the stand up speeder thing...whatever its called...that is shown on the box.
It does seem like we have gotten quite a few remade sets that are 10% smaller than the original lately so I understand those concerns, but I'll stay optimistic until we have more information.

Its the STAP (Single Trooper Aerial Platform). The first Droid Battle Pack had something similar.lego the hutt wrote:I'm optimistic. The figures look good and I like the stand up speeder thing...whatever its called...that is shown on the box.
Most likely to coupe with keeping the same price points as previous versions. Otherwise, they'll be increasing the prices. The current version of Republic Gunship and AT-TE had the same price point as the 2010 Clone Wars version, yet, they are smaller.lego the hutt wrote: It does seem like we have gotten quite a few remade sets that are 10% smaller than the original lately so I understand those concerns, but I'll stay optimistic until we have more information.

Weird to see the Sith minifigure just standing on the shelf above it ... is that Darth Revan?

I loved this LEGO Star Wars 75058 MTT set. However, I have not seen them at my place yet. I will add them to my collection sometime soon.
