Re: Lord of the Rings sets now avail. for preorder Target

Is there any point in preordering them? I know in the past BnN had a 10% discount on some sets that you preordered but that doesn't seem to be the case here.

Re: [USA] LEGO Series 7 Minifigures - Now Available Instores

I can confirm that the Walmart in Valparaiso IN has Series 7, but there weren't that many there and I wasn't able to complete my set : | Curse you little red riding hood...Some poor kid probably got 4 of the same minifigure.

Re: What Star Wars set(s) are you purchasing on May 4th?

Absolutely nothing because from what everyone has been saying around here, only the huge sets are going to be on sale lol.

My older bro says that the May the 4th Be With You even used to be a lot better in terms of deals. I would have to agree with him because I'm not impressed.

Re: Olympic Minifigures, UK exclusive

I hope these are fake because there's no way in heck I could ever be able to get hold of any : | That said, most of them don't appear to be too different from any of them that are in the CMF series, so I wouldn't miss them too much, although it would be nice to have a boxing partner for my red buddy.

Re: Finding the Miniseries 6 Roman Soldier

You're going to have to go the LEGO store at this point to find Series 6 : |

That said, like other people have said, the Shield is a dead giveaway that it is the Roman, but the helmet and the spear are pretty hard to mistake for anything else. He's pretty easy to feel for.

Best of luck mate.

Re: 2012 LEGO Monster Fighters (Summer)

The only sets from this theme that are any good are: LEGO 9468 Castle - $99.99 LEGO 9463 Werewolf - $19.99 The rest have good prices but arn't that interesting. I don't know how you can't find the ghost train interesting. The last time they did something like that was with the Time travelers theme....

Agreed. It looks like a minifigure from the early 90s...Basically a solid color with white lines as the details. Not very impressive.

Re: 2012 LEGO Lord of the Rings

I hope they do some really large sets for LotR. Perhaps Rivendell or can't you imagine Minis Tirith, the white city built up the mountainside until you reach the top where the King's Palace is located? That would be an incredible set! Or how about Minis Morgul too? Then Grand Hall of King Theoden? ...

Re: Pick a Brick is actually a good deal!

While I'm in this thread, I'd like to give a shout out to the Chicago, IL LEGO store in their new location. Their PaB wall is bigger than a regular LEGO store by about maybe two rows and when I went their they had windows, three different square tile colors, as well as multiple stud colors and brick...

Re: 2012 LEGO Friends (Summer)

They're getting a lot of use out of the new bucket and basket pieces I see. I agree with Vynsane, quite a few of these sets seem to be rehashed City sets with new colors, not that I'm complaining because I thought they were kind of boring when they first got released for the City line way back when.

Re: When will Toys R Us start selling the LOTR sets?

They should be at TRU.com and brick and mortar stores a little after the official release on LEGO S@H which is supposedly in June. Toys R Us has a pretty big history of releasing sets before LEGO does due to lax company policy or stores trying to fill up their shelves when they are empty. They will...

Is that two Death Stars I spy? Jeez! I'm trying to move away from the larger drawers and go into smaller compartments for better organization at the moment but I can't seem to find any places that have cheap screw/bolt drawers that I'm using for them.

Re: [CUUSOO] BTTF DeLorean Time Machine

I think the main detractor on this being realized would be the age of the property. Yes, it has a 30th anniversary coming up, much like Star Wars and Indiana Jones did when their themes were launched. However, unlike those properties, there isn't another installment of the franchise planned. If The...
