Excellent, will pick up when I go to the States in August. I just e-mailed LEGO about the North American availability of this last week, and they assured me it would be available in the very near future.

Disappointed that 21016 Sungnyemun is not available in North America...why's that?

Sure, the Starfighter's got about half the piece count of even the smallest UCS sets, and it $130 was certainly a steep MSRP, but it's still a very nice-looking model once on display. $65 is spot-on.

Where else can these be found? I'm used to living in Edmonton, where the local Toys 'R' Us always gets dozens of boxes. SSD needs to be at least 35% off Canadian MSRP or more to be worth it for me. If only this sale lasted until June so I could pick it up when I holiday in the States. (Then again, I've already got over $700 worth of LEGO planned for that trip...)

10143 Death Star II already exists, and it's a fantastic set. You're going to be paying at least $600 for one by now, but it's a great build and looks terrific with your other UCS models.

I disagree and would not characterize this as rare because we have seen clone turbo tank, venator, mindstorm nxt 8527, mindstorm nxt 8547, gunship, hogwarts castle, falcon, republic frigate, excavator, fire temple and I am sure there is maybe one or two more that I forgot.
