Re: Wish you get it sooner...
I'm in this situation with the Agents Robo Attack set - it apparently started getting cleared out right around the time I came out of my Dark Ages (this past Christmas) but I didn't realize that because my local TRU still had a bunch (but, of course, marked up above MSRP) so I didn't buy it during ...

Wish you got it sooner...
Another post asked the question of which set did you regret buying, in this one I want to ask which set did you regret not buying SOONER? :o I'll start, I first saw Cafe Corner on an after Xmas sale a couple years ago. At the time I didn't have a lot of room at my place and my child was too young to...

Re: [MOC] Phoenix Fireball
Nice work Vynsane! The combination is well executed and the mix of figures makes it very unique. Do you typically design in digital designer first? How much time did it take to put this together if you had to estimate all your sessions (assuming it wasn't an over-nighter which would make it all the ...

TRU (US) - BOGO 50% thru 7/3 excl. SW sets
Here's your chance to pick up a bunch of sets for what effectively amounts to 25% off since it's Buy One, Get O(BOGO) 50% off on the second of equal or lesser value. Obviously make sure your second item isn't the keychain. This applies to in-store only and excludes Star Wars sets, but all the ...

Re: A few new sales items at Shop at Home
What I find most annoying about Lego's sale page is that it comes on randomly and then popular things are "sold out" almost instantly and then it's still listed by sold out...I don't know why they don't just remove sold out items and just add them back in when it's back in stock. It makes ...

Monster Chess - Impressive!
One of those MOCs that drops your jaws and leave you in awe.

Took a team of 4 over a year to construct the 100,000+ set....that's a lot of $$ and a labor of love.

Re: LEGO Architecture Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum (21004) -
You're welcome...glad to share my savings....though, all these "savings" is leading me to spend more....it's a double-edged sword isn't it? I agree these architecture series is on the pricey side. I think it's because there're targeted towards adults so the prices are jacked up. Even the b...

Well for Fallingwater, I did buy it was the parts because there's a lot of those clear pieces in this set and all the tans are good for future house/city MOCs. If you guys missed the goldbox...here's an even better deal and not have to wait for those goldbox deals to show up or worst disappear befor...

LEGO Architecture Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum (21004) - Ama
Got this for $31.78 from Amazon. There's also another dollar and change off of that price w/ a gold box deal, but that's a fleeting thing so YMMV...The price isn't great for these architecture series but this is the lowest I've seen for this set...still works out to be around 14 cents/piece though.....

It's inconsistent but they are probably counting just the bag...afterall, there's only one barcode per bag so that may be the reason to stick with that.

Re: LEGOShop Weekly Phone Specials Thread
I don't think that many people actually knew about this and even less probably utilized it. TLG probably felt that it wasn't worth the effort. Likely they saw that it was being bought out early by all the resellers and then having subsequent callers complaining there's nothing left. I know that to ...

Nah, all of the figs have been seen elsewhere as far as I can remember. The Ewoks appeared pretty early in the Star Wars line actually. 7139 Ewok Attack, 2002. The flyer, the speeder bike and a catapult all appear with two Ewoks and two scout troopers. It became the staple of Ewok army buildling :)...

Re: Collectable minifigures slowly coming to USA
Has anyone asked TRU if they'll order a case for you if they don't have it in stock or only a partial set? It's kinda annoying to go to one and find that half of the case has been picked over w/ only the same figs left. I would rather just pony up for a whole case and trade the extras or something.

Hrm... 4% off for a 'gold box' deal? Doesn't sound too golden to me. Thanks for the heads up, though! Haha...agreed...not that golden...esp. if the gold box deal ends...but what can I say...if you were thinking about and there's a savings, it's still something... I like this set b/c it has a lot of...

Re: Collectable minifigures slowly coming to USA
Pretty sure you're going to pay full price for it, so $1.99 x 60 (I believe that's how many are in a case) = XXXX + your local tax rate...whatever that works out to be.TClone wrote:Can someone please tell me the price of one case if bought that way from Toys R Us?

LEGO Star Wars The Battle of Endor (8038) - Amazon
Not sure how long these gold box deals last on Amazon or if it's for everyone, but I got the LEGO Star Wars The Battle of Endor (8038) for $91.22 with free shipping from AMAZON. The price shows up w/ discount when I check out. With free shipping, it's not a bad deal since SW sets sales are harder to...

I have a feeling even if they are stopped that it'll come back by packaging them in sets so you'll still get them just not all at once separately...for the same reason that you mentioned with the cost of operations, it doesn't make sense to just stop completely.

Nice work Nannan! You've inspired me to make some MOCs as gift, I particularly like the spinning globe you did. I will try to make something like that in the future. Congrats on your graduation as well!
