Re: Exclusive TC-14 and Hulk Minifigs!

A side from the earlier finds from some shady sellers has there been any more release information on next weeks "May the Fourth" Promotional deals other than the buy $$$ and get an exclusive TC-14 or Hulk minifig? I've read somewhere there is going to be free shipping for the month, but I...

At my local Zellers Lego is still only 20% off; I even scanned a set to double check.

Re: New Star Wars Lego special @ Toysrus, Vaughan Mills

At the TRU I visited there was a correction notice for this week's flyer which basically said that these sets are substitutes for Cad Bane's Speeder and Republic Swamp Speeder; I guess they got a lot of complaints due to not having those in? According to the notice, Rebel Trooper BP should also be o...

Re: New TRU Superheroes, Friends, City polybags

I think $4.99 is a perfectly reasonable price. You get a licensed minifigure (worth nearly $10 on the secondary market) and 30 odd parts. I guess there's no pleasing some people.

I wonder whether this will come to Canada. Maybe a 30% chance.

Re: Zellers Canada Liquidation: First Wave Starts March 14-1

30% is nice, but not great. Last time I checked, they still have a decent selection (you have to check behind the sets in the front to find the ones that were stuffed back there and forgotten). Anybody have any idea when these first wave stores are actually going to close in order for remodelling? I...

Re: What sets are in your "backlog" to be built?

In the five weeks since I've posted, I've gone on a bit of building binge and have built everything save for the modular buildings and a couple of $130 sets. Those are the ones I can't build due to a lack of display/storage space. I find it's kind of like reading a book; I felt like there just wasn'...

Re: [US/CAN] May 2012 LEGO Store Calendar

So no mention of free shipping... I guess I will have to head in-store to pick up those exclusive minifigs (unless it mysteriously pops up like it has before).

The exclusive Mini Lego Store is simply lovely. I definitely agree that it is far superior to the mostly generic minifig sets.

Re: Exclusive TC-14 and Hulk Minifigs!

I agree with tensor; I wager the chrome TC-14 is going to be very popular (like the 2011 Holiday sets) and will be quickly snapped up. The same, to a lesser extent goes for the Hulk fig; the Super Heroes theme is also very popular. If we really have to spend $75 on Lego Star Wars for TC-14 (sometime...

Exclusive TC-14 and Hulk Minifigs!

I was browsing Eurobricks and saw this: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7043/7040090405_9aebd86f5d_z.jpg http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=68094 Looks like Lego is really pushing exclusive Minifigs with the new Super Heroes theme! BTW, where are promotions/sales that apply to both US...

Re: [US] April 2012 LEGO Store Calendar Highlights

Wow, that bunny is ugly . That's a pretty poor design for something that I assume was designed by a Lego pro, even if they had to deal with a parts limitation. The Mallard is nice, though. Nice to see another Canadian Lego store opening up, although they aren't as great as everybody thinks th...

Re: Top 3 Selling Lego Themes from 2011

When I saw the thread title, I guessed Lego Star Wars and Lego City before clicking. I didn't even remember to consider Lego Ninjago with the 2012 Snakes subtheme fresh in my head. I kind of enjoyed the first year (would have preferred classic Ninja, but it was okay), but I am not a fan of the over-...

Re: CMF magnets??

Interesting. Not bad considering they're all female and some of the cooler ones. Anyone know if they're glued? Unless they've changed their policy these are glued. :problem: I really don't understand what Lego hopes to accomplish with these. Re-releasing collectible minifigures, which diminishes th...
