So happy to get all five trains currently being sold this fall. I wonder how many of them will be retired next year? I was confused for a second but I see that you are counting the Ghost train as the fifth. I don't own it, does it fit on the tracks? The Ghost train's engine fits and runs perfectly ...

Wow, thanks for the post, decided to use Walmart.com instead of Amazon (since they have the 90 days return policy and free ship-to-store) and got two lego trains. Yellow deluxe cargo train - $139.05 (Reg. $180) Maresk train - $100.10 (sale - Reg. $120) and for some reason not price matched at Amazon...

Reading some post on brick set, it appears you need to have purchases of $60 or more, to get a vintage set.

When I got my catalog, I didn't get the 10% coupon. I called customer service to ask why, and they said only selected locations receive the coupon. Darn they didn't have VC discounted at my local walmart, but I did pick up the DC Batcave set for $40.

You will save more money by waiting and buying the sets individually on sale rather than buying them all at once from the lego store. There are benefits of the lego store...vip points and a small discount, but if you are patient you should be able to find all of them for 25-30+% off without to much...

Weathertop was on sale for $40 but i still think that too pricy. Why do you think that is pricy? At $40 it's $20 under retail and with 430 pieces, is less than $0.10 a piece for a license set. The red cargo might not be retired for a while. Looking at four main trains sets the yellow cargo train, passenger train and Marsek Train are all older trains, than the red cargo, currently in production.
