Re: New Feature: Thank Others for Posting (BETA)
Ok, here comes the dumb question. Why can I not see this thumbs up icon anywhere? Am I just going blind or what? I only see the quote button and the report this post buttons. Is it only in certain forums right now or what? Sorry if this is in fact a dumb question, but I think this is cool idea and t...

Re: anyone seen large sets at TRU stores?
I once saw a couple of the Shuttle Expedition sets at a TRU but they were gone a few days later. Not sure if they were returns or what. Never seen anything else though.

Re: [CAN] TRU Aug 5 - Aug 11
Just took a look at the online flier, and it shows the Harry Potter lego at being 20% off. Maybe you got a typo on yours? Also shows a "build your own Lego jet plane" on August 6th from 12 - 2 pm. Hope the plane is better than the fathers day race car was.

Re: 2011 LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean
Wish granted! Three POTC key chains are available now. Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth Swan and Hector Barbossa (with peg leg). They also have a magnet set with Jack Sparrow, Hector Barbossa (two legs) and that Zombie Pirate that seems to be everywhere, but the magnets are glued so they are garbage.

Re: [VT] The Next Generation of Space Travel
Some nice entries. Too bad I can only give 3 points out.
Here are my votes:
1 point - Space Elevator - legitimatealex
1 point - Moonbase - Knobby Plastic
1 point - I.S.E. Columbus - hatcher (slightly embarrassed about voting for myself, but what can you do?)
Good luck to everyone entered.

Well there goes the retirement fund. :) These are awesome! That Scotsman is going to star in quite a few Highlander MOCS, and the Genie, and Minotaur, and Leprechaun! Can't wait for the entire set!

Re: [CONTEST] The Next Generation of Space Tra
So since legitamatealex chose the same concept that I did (a space elevator) and his looked pretty good, I decided to go with my plan b model. I call it the I.S.E. Columbus. I.S.E. stands for International Space Explorer. The Columbus is a long term voyager that is to take humans out of our solar sy...

It felt like 118 yesterday (about 50 celcius) but that was due to the humidex. Today is a more reasonable 35 celcius.

Re: [CAN] New LEGO Brand Store in Fairview Mall - Toronto, O
I think they got scared off after the Stanley cup riots. Lego isn't stupid, they know the Leafs aren't going to win the cup any time this century so Toronto is a safe place to set up LEGO stores. :)Legobrandon wrote:Another one for Ontario? Nothing in Vancouver?

Re: LEGO gets Marvels Comics Superheroes License
Iron man's helmet is way out of proportion with his body unfortunately. Wolverine and Captain America look quite nice though. Thor shouldn't look puny, but then again he is standing next to the Hulk, so what are you going to do? Like Homer Simpson once said "This is going to cost me." (Lot...

Re: Steal of a Deal / Recent LEGO Purchases
Just picked up the airport set at TRU for $60 (Canadian). The front of the box was ripped open, but I pulled out all the stuff and unless I missed something, its all there. Over 50% off for a torn box, not to shabby.

Interesting idea, but too bad we could only vote for one. I missed about half of series 1, and would love to be able to get some of those without having to pay bricklink prices.

Re: HST tax in BC (vote yes to remove it, no to keep it)
Good luck with the vote. I am amazed you even got thrown that bit of bone. I would be stunned if your HST goes away. Us poor slobs in Ontario, we too got hit with the HST surprise last year. Only we have to pay 13% instead of your 12. And we pay it on gasoline, electricity and natural gas (I think y...
