What do you think about LEGO Universe?
With the game being preordered it can't be too far away for its release. I've been pouring over the minisite as well as other forums (LEGO/Computergame) and so far the pre release reviews seem pretty positive and many lines are represented. It seems like an extension of some of their LEGO Star Wars/...

Re: LEGO Store grand openings
As long as it's not ridiculously marked-up due to being in NYC, I'll be happy. I can't wait to see the PaB wall. They've got a pretty high sales tax, but LEGO doesn't mark up their own stock unlike Toys R Us. At least I've never noticed it if they do. Their PaB wall is probably going to be the larg...

Re: Discontinued LEGO Star Wars Sets - 2010
I considered buying that set vs a castle line set (Drawbridge Defense I think) and the only reason I could find to buy the Solar Sailor were the two robot guards. I really liked them but the $40 Drawbridge Defense had more minifigures and I believe more pieces. It's a must have if you're a Star Wars...

Re: LEGO Star Wars 852947 Magnet
Yes! Two of those figures are in pretty awful sets! Magnet sets really are the best deals sometimes. Now I don't have to buy that $30 bad swamp set.

My favorite was $60 set being cut to $20. What a great find that was. It was the harbor set from '08.

Re: Key chains
I'm thinking with a new Batman movie in 2012, the sets will come back like Harry Potter sets are coming back. I'm hoping for LEGO to pick up the Green Lantern movie license. There's a Batman movie in production I believe at the moment. They're going to CGI the Joker in since Heath Ledger died : | G...

60.00/801 = .074 a piece
That's super reasonable.

Can you be specific as to which sets? I know that a few have been up there for a while already.

I think if the site had a partnership with one or the other sites it would be ok to post a link to it but if not then its really like cross promoting another site over this one, even if it might not seem that way.

Re: Lego Store in Canada?
Because stores might not open up in certain parts of Canada because of certain sale taxes. That limits where the stores pop up. I've got to drive an hour and a half to the nearest LEGO store and that happens maybe once a year. It stinks not having a store near you.

Re: LEGO 8684 Collectable Minifigures - Series 2
I like that they're revisiting old themes, though, with the Robin Hood/Forrestman, Cowboy, Indian and Ninja in series 1 and the Adventurer in series 2. It's like they're testing the waters to see if a particular figure will take off, and maybe they'll bring those themes back in some limited capacit...

Re: New collector minifigs at LSAH question
That seems like too simple a reason though. They do it for every other set. They don't include the beard, hair, cape, or accessories as 1 piece.vynsane wrote:It's also probably easier than listing the part count for each individual figure.

I guess you just have to really ask yourself if you really need newer motors. If what you have now works fine then there's probably no need to replace them unless you think that the efficiency will save you money on batteries down the line.

Re: Review: 8897 World Racers ~ Jagged Jaws Reef
I suppose you're right about the cartoony effect. The most expensive set so far is my favorite, not that I'd buy it. The minifigures' torso decals are awesome, as are all of their faces. That set also has a working crane that moves out motors and replaces them. It's pretty detailed and adds play val...

Batman isn't Marvel though. Its DC comics.
