Re: Building Lego models without using the instructions...

Very impressive! I don't build sets this way - it would drive me crazy if I got to the end and had pieces left over! I just looked at your blog and I'm enjoying your 30-day challenge with the Architecture Studio. Well done!

Re: New Magazine for LEGO Families

It's especially tough to make a "Friend"-ly shopping cart, since Friends' hands don't swivel. I wish they'd fix that, too.

Re: New Magazine for LEGO Families

I have no problem with you using materials from the magazine as long as it is for non-commercial purposes. I appreciate the courtesy of you letting me know you plan to do it, too. I hope the kids really enjoy it! The flowers were pretty simple - you can see most of the detail if you look closely at ...

Re: Storing Large LEGO Collections

I forgot to mention in my other reply that it's taken our LEGO room about 15 years to evolve to this state. We started using the drawer units early on, and in our first apartment we had amazing closet space - huge closets with sliding doors. The drawer units fit perfectly in there behind the doors, ...

Re: Storing Large LEGO Collections

Now that's an awesome basement! We're also hoping to have one room devoted just to displaying models, but we're still in the process of figuring out finances. Will Displaying models is really tough. It takes up a lot of room, and then there's the dust factor if you aren't good about regularly dusti...

Re: Storing Large LEGO Collections

I use many of the 7 drawer units you have pictured(4 shallow/3deep) Where did you find the black 10 drawer shallow unit right next to them? Most of the tall ones were bought at Office Max (maybe 1 or 2 from BJ's Wholesale Club) back in the late 90s. I went online within the last 6 months to see if ...
