Re: Why only Lego>?
I know the forum has been created and there's a place to post sales/findings for the clone brands but I thought of one thing... Mega Blok, Tyco, Best Lock, and others have one thing going for them already-their price. Usually the price per piece ratio is well below 10 cents a brick some strive for. ...

Re: New Iron Man Sets!
When I read "Malibu Mansion Attack" I thought of a Marvel/ Paradisa crossover. TLG would probably just use the mini-dolls from the Friends line...but still. I like the set but I enjoy what I thought a whole lot more.

Re: [US/CA] LEGO Store Calendar March 2013
What's with the four leaf clover special? Is this a yearly thing or newer? Is it similar to a scratch card? In years past an associate hides a lego-made shamrock in the store. When you check out you alert the cashier that you found the shamrock (while pointing it out discreetly :P) and the discount...

Re: Help with Minifigure part
I think when Lego makes one mold in a myriad of colors the original part number stays the same. A black minifig hand would be part 983 then just look for black "gloves."

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
Thanks for the heads up. I went yesterday and found the same deals that people here have posted. No Dino HQ and most of the shelves were cleared. I was able to get one t-rex trapper. There was one left on the shelf when I left. I also saw two triceratops sets half off-but like vynsane I don't have t...

The jewel is Lego made and is available in sets/ pick-a-brick/ or on bricklink. Here is the bricklink link to the part: Rock 1 x 1 Jewel 24 Facet
The bottom of the jewel fits snug inside an empty stud or a minifig's hand.

Re: Wal-Mart Black Friday Ad
I went Thursday night a little before 8 and looked for the Duplo set. I finally ended up asking a manager where they might be and was told they didn't receive their shipment of Lego for the sale. So the minimum two per store became zero. The good part was I finished my shopping before 8pm and they c...

Re: mosaic using round tile
If you use round tiles wouldn't the gray still show through? Have the 1x1 tiles been around long enough and are they abundant enough to be cheaper? I've only seen them in a handful of sets and I don't think they're available in all colors yet. Do you mean the 1x1 plates? They're very cheap now that ...

Re: $5 Off $50 LEGO S@H Coupon, Good Thru 11/21
I saw Edmond's post more along the lines of: "Holy crap that's a lot of free bricks. Where is this and how young do I need to look?!" We don't have any of those stores around here and if we do I have never seen one. Most likely they just get mixed in with all of the other real barns.

Re: Amazon Lightning Deals 11/19
On Black Friday the train will be 74.99 at Target. I saw the train in the store yesterday-the store had 2 and I noticed the 99.99 price tag as well. I had noticed at Lego it is 119.99. So Target has at least one set below asking price. :) Even though I was 170 I was invited to partake so now I am lo...

Re: Amazon Lightning Deals 11/19
Duplo train is 74.99-they matched Target for price. When the deal went live for me there was no button-like a hiccup. When it finally appeared it said join waitlist and I am number 170. I wish I was in a grocery store at the deli counter and 164 was in front of me-at least I know I'd get what I want...

Re: Target Black Friday USA
The Duplo train retails for $120 at Lego and $125-$130 at Target. The savings works out to be almost 50 dollars off depending where you get your numbers from. Might this set also be a Brick Friday set at Lego? I haven't seen it in a while.

I agree with you somewhat but it's just two words which probably leads to the open-ended interpretation. Lego Fans of Advanced Age might help get those silly thoughts out of your head.

Re: Steal of a Deal / Recent LEGO Purchases
Yard sales are pretty much done here now that the weather is getting colder. Now holiday bazaars, white elephant sales and craft fairs are in abundance. I went to a bazaar this past weekend and saw a stack of stuffed animals piled high against one wall on top of a children's table. "There's no ...

The private messages you send remain in the outbox until the receiver has read them. Every member comes on when their schedule allows- so there will be times you'll have to wait awhile before receiving an answer.
