Re: Open Poly Bag Minifigures or Not?
The way I feel about is, I enjoy the minifigs and perhaps wan to use them in a moc so I open them. So long as you keep them in good condition the resell value is nominally different. The few dollars in value lost is worth it for the enjoyment I get out of them. If anything I buy 2 so I can open one ...

Re: Simpsons Minifigures @ TRU
Beat me to the punch. Found a box at Walmart and was fortunate to have a sign saying something about a misprint in their advertisement (guessing about Lego Movie CMF?) at $2.97 but te store did not have any but would offer The Simpsons CMF in its place. Needless to say I was very happy ;) image.jpg

Re: Where can I sell A LOT OF LEGO SETS BOXES
For those that keep your empty boxes, do you keep them only one side open or do you keep them flat and break both sides of security tape? I keep all my boxes that aren't already damaged in some way. I keep all my boxes and polybags after opening. I open both sides to store hem flat otherwise they w...

Re: Investing question for a newbie.
I would say 'no'. TRU cleared out a large stack of them in Dec for $20 each, and there are now 169 stores on amazon offering them for sale. Although the set has some unique qualities, I don't think they are enough to clear out the reseller backlog anytime soon. Last week saw a number of better opti...

Re: LEGO The Simpsons Series Minifigures (List Revealed)
Another thing you have to take into account with these, besides extra licensing fees, is that every head is a new mold. Most CMFs are just a reprinted head. Designing new head molds is another large cost that has to be covered. Would I rather they were $2.99? Sure, but I understand they have to hav...

$10 TRU Gift card with Lego Purchase of $40
Was just up at TRU looking for poly bags and was using my 20% of entire purchase coupon when the cashier mentioned "Oh you must be after some $10 gift cards. Don't have the dates or exclusions as I didn't see the flyer very closely, but wanted to pass the word since lots of new sets re still MS...

WTS/T Lots of Items
With my son consuming most of my time, and my views changing on how I want to collect, I've decided to get rid of some of my sets to cut my collection down some. Also changing the way in which I invest in Lego. Wants: Old Batman Agents Trains Space (Blacktron / Mtron / Snow Planet) Castle (Needing F...

My favorite set is the Sea Cow as I love Pirate Ships and this is such a different looking set, but amazing. My favorite Minifig from the movie was Batman, because well... he's Batman.

Re: Toys R Us Buy 1 Get 1 50% Off All Lego Sun 2-16-22
When TRU was an honest company I used to spend between $100-$200 or even more per month there. Ever since they have jacked their prices up, then even more during sales , they have lost my business. I rarely purchase Lego from them at all now, which is sad since I have a 13 month old and am there all...

Sign up for their alerts or call ahead. Hobby lobby has 50% off shadow boxes pretty regularly so hit them up during one of these. I'm a little OCD so it took me several visits to get boxes that were not dinged up and had the magnets installed well so the front sat as flush as possible to avoid dust....

Re: Hello... Is there any topics for minifigure collection?
Thanks Luciant, I think I saw the same post as the display that I did sounds very similar and with the 20x24 shadowbox. The smaller ones that you have seem easier to manage as you are right, the 20x24 frame is heavy and hard to manage when full of figures. Do they have 16x20 shadowboxes that open fr...

Re: New York Toy Fair 2014 LEGO News & Pictures
That's a weak blackbird and very disappointing. No way this is $49.99 when actually released... Maybe $39.99 at most, but hopefully $34.99. Storm & Cyclops to add, and a Sentinel is at also something, although not as uber as expected. At least the Mageneto and Wolverine are alt-minifigs and not ...

Re: Hello... Is there any topics for minifigure collection?
You are correct, I built them myself, and I tested a few different things as I went along. I got the initial instructions from a post on brickset, and modified it to my needs/likings. I used 16x20 Shadow Boxes I bought from Hobby Lobby. The inspirational poster used 20x24 Shadow Boxes, but I found t...
