I've seen the slots on their website but the pages load empty. When does B&N traditionally begin stocking newer sets, or rather, how much delay between the release and B&N picking it up?

If the store doesn't have "clearance money" from corporate it doesn't get reduced. What magical formula is used to determine which stores receive it? Only the Walmart gods know.

This. I remember having this happen with a Leapster title a year ago or so. 7 or so titles were on sale for ridiculously cheap, store pick up option. Had to settle for lesser titles and when we got to the store they were right there on the shelf. I think their inventory system sucks.

It can be mixed in with the normally priced Lego (sometimes not marked if in the regular aisle), or in a separate clearance aisle usually near home and garden.

Why does Kmart tend to irk me when these deals come around? Well, they're merely on sale at the moment in my local store, but I wanted to attempt to use the $25 off $125 coupon online for Helm's Deep and Uruk-hai. Both were available for pick-up in store with the only thing being Helm's Deep showing...

On sale, not clearanced...buuuuut if this follows the same pattern the Tie Fighter did a couple of months ago, they might go lower, its discount was also increased at one point from a minimal amount to 50% off.

There's times when it is storewide. Most recently with the tie fighters.

So I guess the question is...Can we expect these to get clearanced shortly? I remember about this time last year they had a big blow-out on Star Wars and Ninjago.

I still laugh when I think of the price mistake on the Marvel sets the first month they were out. They were like 65% off or something. Everyone was racing to the stores to pick up their orders before Toys R Us wised up.
