No kidding...I paid retail for the one I ordered by calling LEGO the Friday before last...it arrived with a hole in the package the unfortunately carried over into the actual box, too. Bought it to keep it, though, so no big. I'd take another 2 or 3 for parts alone at $43 though... Or five or six.....

Checked out my local Target. Found 3 polybags for $0.39, earlier in the week I found 60 for $1.19 and bought them.

This target had moved all of the clearance toys to once isle, lots of sets just 30% off sadly.

Found the Ewok Village set the other day for $150!!!! Best deal I have ever seen for it. guppy, I don't think they're allowed to sell UCS sets for that low of a price. Most stores that still have these have them on clearance, prices ranging in my area from $2-$3 (WAS: $3.94, some still have it for this price however) not bad if you still need to pick one up (or a bunch :D)

What store had the polybags? La Quinta Wally had a handful of polys, mainly the elves set and a few friends golf sets (think i got a lot of those at target earlier this year) no jokers or spiderman. They can honestly be anywhere, mostly in the toy section. look for green or blue lego boxes, they could also be hanging on clip-strips throughout the isles.
