since I live near Lougheed I swung by and it was almost cleaned out when I got there. No sign of the Creator Jet or B-Wing. They had 3 X-Men/Sentinel sets left that someone nabbed while I was there. Instead I picked up 4 of the Hallowe'en figs and my wife is all proud of herself for going 4 for 4 on...

damn, they never seem to have the clearance going on when I check in! Any of the Creator Jet left?

I called Lego customer support and they said they're aware of the problem about people being charged the wrong tax in certain provinces. They said that any order placed will have the tax corrected on the invoice. So Helicarrier ordered. :D

Black Friday was underwhelming last year. If you want the holiday train, this is as good a time as any, since it's a sure thing.

I've ordered from them a couple times and it typically came in a solid box with plastic air packaging. The Lego boxes themselves arrived in great shape.

anyone place an order, specifically in Canada, and have the tax get calculated correctly? Trying to order a Helicarrier but it's charging me 13% tax when it should be charging 5%. The shipping address is AB (5%) and the billing address is BC (12%), so I have no clue why it's charging 13%. I've tried...

Could also be a double VIP points event around Black Friday, too, but forget how consistent they are with that.

start the VIP account first, then buy stuff. You can sign up online, so no reason not to just do it now, then be signed in to it when doing any online orders. If you sign up online, then go into a store, you can just give them your email address or VIP number to get points.

and being Costco, don't dawdle! After 3 days at the Willingdon Costco, more than 2/3 of the stock was gone. If I recall correctly last year, they just got 1 shipment and after a couple weeks they were gone for good.

probably because they don't need to make it the whole month to sell lots of sets. With Lego at an all time high in popularity, there are only a fraction of the deals compared to what was offered even 5 years ago. Kinda too bad, I would have liked to have got double VIP points together with the Chris...

actually, got the sets mixed up. I got Raptor Rampage from Toys R Us, not Raptor Escape

Raptor Escape no longer shows up for me, either. Pretty sure I saw it when I checked earlier in the day. I ended up going to a store to pick up the sets instead of ordering online. They had Raptor Escape at the Coquitlam store.
