Re: No Discounts Policy on LEGO Exclusives & Hard to Find It

With freebees I still get a good discount on them. Heck, VIP bonus is 10% now. Also, this means you won't be pissed off later when it's offered at a much cheaper price. So it will keep it's value much better. Right, VIP points are now 10% used to buy more of TLG product, not the same as saving 10% ...

To my knowledge price fixing is illegal in this country. I hear several times a year where the government has fined companies for price fixing, but that my be a little different. Either way, I think it may end up hurting Lego more than helping.

Re: Potential deal if we get the votes

I was told by an employee of the Lego Company that it applies to Lego brand retail. He did not say other retailers, and this is the first I have heard that.

Ya, I was just looking at some of their sale prices last night and they were not too bad,10-10% off, but they quickly jacked the price so high even with the BOGO the prices are at or above MSRP.

Re: 10% off coupon on Fall 2013 Catalog

You know, most if not all of the so called "exclusive" sets can be purchased from Wal-Mart or Target online with free shipping at the same price. Use your Target card and you get 5% off. Why bother with the Lego store if they want to exclude all the sets that adults want? I don't get any L...

Re: Question about Black Friday -Black Pearl?

Target usually has a $99.99 set on Black Friday on sale, last year Black Pearl, year before that was the Troll Fortress, Thats been my thought the Vampire Castle, or one of the City Sets, like the mine. Toys R Us Black Friday sale was the Ninjango 2507 Fire Temple for $91.99, so if you see Target s...

Re: 10% off coupon on Fall 2013 Catalog

I'm very curious to see if this new rule applies to the annual Black Friday scratch off discount. From the wording of the official response, it sounds like you will NOT be able to include any of those sets in a BF discount. They will probably keep this rule in effect through the holidays and lift i...

most items I was hiding at my targets now ring up as item not found. Upon taking them to the cashier they offer it up at 50% off... its last markdown... blah. What I noticed was that the markdown was not automatic. There needs to be product available on the shelf for them to scan to take it to the ...

Re: 2012 LEGO Annual Report Released

Supply and demand. People can gripe about prices all they want (and do) but if people are still buying them there is no reason to lower prices. I believe in the whole supply and demand thing, but I believe there is an artificial demand building from investors buying up sets to sell in the future. A...

Re: 2012 LEGO Annual Report Released

Ya, you think maybe they could lower or maybe stabilize the prices a little with all that money? Looks to me like the price increases match their profit increases. And what LEGO wants (msrp) for some of the new sets is CRAZY!

Good thing many retailers are selling below msrp.
