Re: Friends in short supply?

Went to pick up Olivia's Tree house for a birthday present for a 6 year old niece. Hit up the Legostore and 2 Meijer's - nada. Ended up with the Butterfly Beauty Salon (or whatever it's called).

Seem to be plenty of the 5.99 and 9.99 sets available but not much beyond that.

Re: [USA] LEGO Master Builder Academy

What's the consensus on these kits? I watched a YouTube review on the 1st kit and it wasn't overly enthusiastic. Are 2-6 good value for the money? Seems pretty cheap per kit... Also, if one buys 2 to 6 and 7 to 9, do they ship any of them in a batch or does one receive them every other month for a l...

Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance

Mid to late May is usually a time full of deals. King This is specific to Walmart or across the Lego retailers? Assume this is across the retailers... Do flagship (call it over the $100 sets) sets typically go on sale? I was surprised about the Star Wars UCS sets going on sale. It looks like I'm go...

Re: Is there something wrong with me?

Yes, but if I was drinking/smoking the equivalent of what I spent on Legos, I'd check myself in to rehab :) Also, at some point, one has a large number of Lego bricks (We just almost hit 12k bricks in 51 sets, probably what many here consider a small number). Does one really need more sets? How does...

Re: [USA] Wal-Mart Clearance

Local Walmart had Series 5 minifigs hidden away in a clearance section that wasn't near the toys. 3 boxes but all at 2.99. I passed. No sixes or sevens. They had some (4 different) PotC and HP (1) on clearance as well. Didn't note which pieces as PoTC is one of the themes I'm trying not to get inter...

Re: Is there something wrong with me?

Ah, OCLD - obsessive/compulsive Lego disorder. I have just caught it after being away from Legos for 30+ years. I made the mistake of taking my kids to the Lego store in Downtown Disney. They're interested now and my itch has come back with a vengeance just in the past 45 days. I'm a sucker for the ...

Re: LEGO 10223 Kingdom Joust @ Target - $119.99 & Free Shipp

Sorry, I forgot that I have a Lego store locally and not everyone might. I completely agree that the shipping from TLG is painful - I've put off and end up not purchasing items because it is so high. We need the "Amazon Prime" equivalent for Lego.com. Then again, that would be BAD for my w...

I hope not. That would be too tempting for my newly acquired Lego addiction.

Isn't Joust the same price on the Lego store? Plus about $6 in VIP points? Both would have sales tax...

Re: [USA] Meijer LEGO Series 5 Minifigures - 50% off

I hit up 3 in Cincinnati yesterday - Tylersville, Fairfield, and Norwood (had none that I could find). Cleaned 'em out (maybe 25-30 packs). At $1.50, they're good fodder for stocking stuffers, party favors, etc...
