Re: LEGO Black Friday 2013 VIP Early Access (USA & Canada)

Do we know if this is the same deal that will be in store on BF? I had read there would be a $10 GC if you spent $100 or some amount and you needed to use the GC in December. Any intell out there? That's the question for me, too. Not so much in store, but if this is only BF Preview, what else is go...

This Saturday discount: where are the details? Is the % off only for certain items, I.e. only those already on sale?

Re: USA Toys R Us LEGO Sale - 38% off TMNT Baxter Robot Ramp

I didn't expect this good of a sale from TRU. I hope it's a sign of better sales this year. I'm sure they have their reasons for hitting the "panic button" early, what with being $5 billion in debt. Give us a good ol' all inclusive BOGO and I won't spend my money anywhere else, and TRU mig...

^They are usually pretty quick. Most of my orders even typically arrive within a week.

The 7938 has been at around US $75 rather frequently in the past. It's anybody's guess whether it will drop that low again.

Kmart has some too. A few orders went through, a few got cancelled, a few more reorders had the same hit or miss ratio.

Superb, once again. I could lose hours gawking at the stuff in the Guilds. My son is almost 8 and really wants to learn how to do round buildings, so I'll make sure he studies your work here. PM me with your BL name and I'll send you a coupon, if you like.

Re: Week 4 LEGO Bricktober 2013 at USA Toys R Us

Wrangled a nice deal from TRU just now. Bought the Gorilla Mech and Skinnet at TRU's markup, used the 20% off coupon (which DID work on the "Hot Price" Mech!!), and $10 in Rewards bucks to bring my total down to $50, and got the minifig pack. Wish I'd waited for the 20% coupon before I bou...

Re: Amazon Super Saver threshold now $35

I think Prime averages out to about $8-9 per month, and the shipping is a bit faster. I have noticed, though, that if you don't have Prime and you choose free shipping, it may tell you that it will arrive in 5-10 days but it usually only takes 3-4! I may drop Prime anyway if Amazon isn't going to be...

Re: No Discounts Policy on LEGO Exclusives & Hard to Find It

TERRIBLE policy, period. It will benefit no one. TLG will lose sales, fans, and luster. If Minecraft and Lloyd brought the issue of reselling to a boil, and the well-publicized story of the boy who saved his pennies for a year to buy Emerald Night only to discover that it was discontinued added gas ...

Re: Tons of stuff on eBay , decently priced

One thing: You may want to add the complete set number to your Grand Emporium title, maybe some flashy stuff like "modulars" or "hard to find" or "creator expert" to get better search results. Best wishes!

^If you happen to get the 6 digit TRU item number for the Iron Man polybag please let me know. It's not online and it is the only way they can find it in store.

I love that the holiday set is at $99+ not $100. I was all prepared to add something I didn't need to my Winter sets, and lo! There it twas.

And the LEGO shop guy doesn't show up in your cart at all, just the chance it may be a "surprise" in your package.

Re: lego investing ?? LOLOL wet blanket from old geezer

Most (new) "LEGO investors" are undeniably seeing everything through rose-tinted goggles and are deluded by groupthink. The incredible gains of past sets are the result of much fewer hoarders. More hoarders = less gains. The Interweb is glutted now with people who think it's all blue skies...
