Anyone else disappointed with Amazon deals?
Last year was my first as a Lego collector, and I scored some really great sets via the gold box deals on Amazon. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Creator...it seemed like every day or so I was landing a great deal. I'd been looking forward to this year's version for some time now, and yet I've found it ve...

Re: [USA] Target Black Friday Lego
I don't think Target could give away the space police sets today. I went to three store in KY this AM and all of them had dozens - I'm talking stacks - of the space police piece, but nary a troll fortress in sight. Very disappointing.

Re: Lego November Promo free pick a brick box question...
I got a box a few years ago. Are they still the size of a happy meal box? I was able to pack a lot of pieces in it; much more than a regular PaB container. I'd like to get another box this year, but the drive is about 4 hour per round trip. Last year's box was probably half the size of a Happy Meal...

High-res scans of old Lego sticker sheets?
My folks recently found some of my old Lego sets that I'm hoping to build with my sons. Two of the sets in particular that I loved as a kid were #386 Red Cross helicopter and ambulance and #720 London bus. The stickers were long ago used, and the stickers that still remain on the bricks are in bad s...

Re: [USA] Toysrus Doorbusters 11/12 - 11/13 only
Just left my local TRU here in Kentucky - the sale price on the Tie Defender worked, even though it wasn't posted in our local ad. Better yet, even though several sets were marked on the shelf as being on sale, this one wasn't - if you don't know about it going in you'd have no idea until it was sca...

Re: [USA] Target Free Lego Target Pet with purchase of gift
The current Bullseye gift card on the Target website - it comes with a balsa wood airplane - has a minimum purchase of $25. Anxious to see if the Lego one is the same way. My guess would be yes, as otherwise a lot of folks would put a buck or two on the card and walk out with the set.

Re: [USA] Target Free Lego Target Pet with purchase of gift
Target stores will be getting a package that comes a free 31 piece Lego with purchase of a gift card. Thanks for the heads up! Are they available already or they will be getting them soon? I checked out 3 Target stores yesterday and didn't find anything. The folks at my Target said they'd be out wh...

Re: LEGO Star Wars Brickmaster Book - Now Available
Good luck finding this! My Costco had probably 250 of the books (Atlantis and Kingdom and the like), and only a few of them had been sold. After digging through all of them, I found a grand total of three of the Star Wars books. Don't count on help from the store over the phone either - the folks he...

Re: [USA] TRU Bricktober 25% off a few star wars sets
Thanks for the great info, natelite, but I'm having a hard time figuring this out. I signed up for rewardsrunner, but the only Target offer I see on their site is for 14% cash back - where does the 22% come into play? Is there a promo code or something I'm missing? Any insights would be appreciated...

Re: [USA] TRU Bricktober 25% off a few star wars sets
i think he's looking for % off rather than flat $10. too late anyway since the ucs ds is sold out. presumably for just 10% d/c. just wow... if people are interested, you can still get this set for approx 22% off from target using rewardsrunner. you just gotta wait for your other "12%" thou...

Re: [USA] ToysRUs LEGO Bricktober Sale: October 17-23
When looking at the TRU newspaper ad, the price range given on the promotion is $2.49 to $299.99. The only piece that's $299.99 on the TRU site is the Taj Mahal, which I was really hoping would be eligible. I called TRU's customer service folks a bit ago, and they acknowledged it appeared to be an e...

Any stores carrying 2010 Kingdoms Advent Calender?
I"ve seen the Lego City 2010 calender at TRU, and I know Target usually carries it as well. I was hoping to avoid Lego.com shipping charges and pick up one of these at a bricks and mortar retailer, but I don't know of anyone who carries it. Any insights would be appreciated - thanks!

Re: [USA] ToysRUs Lego Bricktober Starting 10/3
Between 9:00 and 10:00 PM EST last night (Tuesday), TRU ran out of the first Bricktober minifigure online. One of them showed up as being available and in my order all the way to the very end of my online purchase, but when the final confirmation screen came up I got a message that the minifig had b...

Re: Lego snow - clear or white?
Thanks as always for your expert insights! One caveat I forgot to mention - I plan on loosely scattering
the bricks around the scene as opposed to building with them. If this changes your opinion please let me know. Thanks so much!

Lego snow - clear or white?
So I'm getting ready to build my winter toy shop and will add the holiday bakery when it hopefully arrives soon. Each year we also put together a big Department 56 holiday display, and 56 makes a plastic- type snow that you can put down around the houses that makes the scene look more realistic. I'm...

Does anyone price match TRU's $360 sale price on the 10188 Death Star? Love the price and need one now! Can't think of anyone else who carries this though.

Borders markups officially RIDICULOUS!
Many thanks to the contributors here who have posted the Borders 40% off coupons. I went to a Borders yesterday to pick up a SW set, and was absolutely stunned by the level of mark-ups on the pieces. The one in particular I was looking for – 8095 General Grevious’ Starfighter – can be found here loc...

Is Lego.com still offering free shipping?
I'm getting ready to place an order on Lego.com, and the last time I ordered I got free shipping because my order was over a certain threshold (I think $75). However, after a quick look at the site today I can't find any mention of a free ship offer. Has this been discontinued or am I missing someth...

Where can I find directions for old Lego sets?
While knocking around Brickset this morning, I came across something that made my heart skip a beat. Although I'd forgotten about it until I saw it, I came across the first Lego set I ever owned - set #760-1, the London Bus (http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=760-1). Since I found it I've been looking ...
